Man i love this car i own a 2012 CTS V that's heavily modified but boy i wish i could afford 1 of these babies. Best car on the planet sedan that is.

The dyno and the video was telling you it needs a better intake and exhaust

How much did all those mods cost to justify only 31 more BHP? not hating just waiting for the gains to outweigh the cost.

What? Stock they put down 640hp. That's a 210hp gain.

You are thinking BHP at the crank not the rear wheels. Stock they make about 540 at the rear wheel and this car is making 771 at the rear wheels. That is a gain of at least 200 BHP by my math.

That stock air box and/or filter is restrictive isn't it? Look at the air box get sucked down at WOT and at the top of the RPM band. Cool otherwise.

+Nick S Oh yeah. you can see on the dyno sheet that the HP flatlined right after the torque curve. It definitely needs more air. Probably another 15-20hp on the table.

Running a Spectre-style hammerhead CAI and full exhaust would easily up this to beyond 900.

+rollincoal its actually more than 850hp. Its right around 900hp.

That's 771 at the wheels, which would work out to roughly 850hp+.

rollincoal Learn the difference between whp and bhp. Obviously you dont know a thing about cars, motors etc.

+THE BOSS Car manufacturers always measure the power in crank horsepower which is a calculated value, on the other hand each dyno types like mustang, dynojet, dynapack, dyno dynamics, etc. dynoing different values to the wheel with the same car. So despite the fact that is a "rwhp" text on the dyno sheet the answer is not that obvious. So the rwhp it can be a littlebit misleading considering the type of the dyno.

why are they upgrading heads and cam for extra horsepower and torque before doing the basic bolt ons and tune to gain more horsepower and torque. Hellcats for the win without heads and cam swap.

I would rather do bolt ons and see how the car responds to those mods. Hellcat owners did the same thing and was able to hit over 800 with basic bolt ons without having to tear into the engine. Plus the hellcat engine is specifically built for the high temperatures and rpm from the factory. Hellcat all day. Mopar or no car. Why spend 80,000 then spend another 15000 to rebuild the engine with better parts. When you could of bought the hellcat for less than 70000.

+Preston Sharp Because maybe someone wants to drive a CTS-V and not a Dodge Ram with a car body. You know that numbers aren't everything right? The Hellcat engine has a much larger blower stock to begin with. It's basically just a well engineered old school engine put in an old chassis. The Hellcat It still has a cast iron block for Christ's sake lol.

People just cannot face the fact that the Hellcat is the best modern day muscle car. Even if it is made on a truck frame, Lmao at that guy for saying that. Mopar or no car. Awesome ride and it looks better than all the chevys and cadillacs too.
