I like how even with his money and influence he still feels comfortable in the hood. Two bedroom house, around his friends and family, just chilling. Such an influential guy and you could run into him just waking to like the corner store. For real though, he's always been one of the GOATS in hip hop.

A video of The Funk Doctor -vs- ANY mumble "rapper" would be like one of those Animal Planet shows where the lion's got his whole head up in that gazelle's guts and then he pulls it out and stares at the camera all covered in blood! Redman slays the whole trap genre with tissue up BOTH nostrils.

@@n9ne-_-ball gotcha. A little more of a chill rapping style to balance it out a bit. I just dont see him as a freestyler, but he is great.

Eminem got his style from Redman. Red's funny/goofy aesthetic and content mixed with humorous punches.
@blackphillip637 жыл бұрын
Em didn't "got", he was influenced, same way Reggie was influenced by Slick Rick.

Damon Anthony Dash Em stans credit Em for everything though without giving props to Redman, Kool Keith, Masta Ace, Treach, etc. though.
@blackphillip637 жыл бұрын
So? You can't know what you don't know unless you get to know it, "giving props" is buying their music and going to their shows, and that Hip-Hop fans do, Eminem is a megastar, don't expect his "stans" to be versed in hip-hop history.

One thing I loved about this interview that got my attention when Redman said, "I was doing a real estate deal." That is applauding and the new school needs to wake up and pay attention. Getcho money yo!
