Kudos to you man, its a tall order for sure. I love music production, I love making music, I love music gear but when I start to see all the steps that are needed for a professional sound I want to throw up and smash my head in. Its madness but you did it and I respect that so much.

Watching this video gives me the same feeling I got with Catabombkid, having seen his rise from his very first album back in the early days to listening to his work with Odesza and knowing he now plays shows all over the world and has people everywhere enjoying his music. It's always nice to see artists you've known since they were small(er) grow up to see recognition from the rest of the world. I'm so glad KZbin picked you up for this project (though probably not as glad as you), because it'll allow so much more people to enjoy the music all your subscribers have come to love. Well done, Jeremy.

What you've laid out here is a process that often seems so daunting I use it as an excuse to not even bother starting to work on new tracks. While it still looks intimidating, I appreciate that you at least make it look like it's possible. ❤️

Thanks for some insight in your workflow, Jeremy! I just realised with your workflow that some nice tools for mixdown and mastering really make a lot of difference on the final sound (something I often struggle with)! Feel free to do more of these! The OP-1 people should learn to be more patient ;)

Since you don't want to speak about mastering, maybe you can recommend someone that you watched to learn more about it? I'm a producer myself, and this is one of those things that is kinda like a blank space in my work on a song. Some people on youtube saying that for home recording you just have to make song louder and clear some unpleasant frequencies with eq. P.s. make more videos like this one. It's really inspiring to watch about your workflow and how you get an idea about music you make :)

This video was super informative. I love these deep dives into workflow. Especially this part of the workflow that deals with the section after composition. Thanks for the great content Jeremy! I'm really curious on how to you use Ableton's session view in the creative process, I have a push 2, but I rarely use session view... I feel like there's a whole part of Ableton I haven't tapped into.

Awesome video Jeremy! Very good information, and the album sounds great! I'm trying my hardest to learn about mastering, but ozone is cost-prohibitive for me right now. The gentleman who created the Caustic mobile DAW has also created a standalone mastering app which is surprisingly full featured. It is currently available freely as a beta app, requiring only that one register on the Caustic forum. It includes various modules that are the sane or similar to things you talked about here, such as an intelligent "look-ahead" limiter, and a stereo visualizer, exciter and of course multi band eq etc etc. When it does finally become a paid app it should sell for $10 or less. While I'm still an infant on the scale of mastering knowledge, I love this app and think one can achieve near-professional results on it. For the price and to have it on mobile (both Android and Apple) is insane.
