The very Roman theme for this region was very fun to immerse in. The Domus Aurea is a reference to the Golden House built by Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus. The theme of music and its evil use here is also a reference to Nero's love for the arts, so much so he forced people to watch his performances. Kinda like how the antagonist tries to force the symphony onto the mass.

For the chest drop thing, sometimes the drops will despawn and then respawn where they originally dropped. So it's likely the ore just respawned at the top of the mountain and then rolled down again

I 100% it the week it released, it was so much fun as someone who doesn't do exploration that much. (100% fontaine last week,still have most nations between 60-90%, Mond is at 99.99%, can't find the last chests in the first area of the game fsr😢)

I loved exploring Sea of Bygone eras and the world quest with it. It's such a pretty place with beautiful soundtrack. It has that wonder factor that I love with Genshin when they do a spectacular job in the environment sector. For me at least, exploring more "organically" without the compass is better. It lets you take in the atmosphere and walk/swim around
