There are necessary criterion for a religion to be true: - 1 Creator - Creator is not the creation - 3 Gods are not 1 God. These are all falsification tests. Then we can look at the rest when only Islam remains, the only religion that calls for the worship of the creator not the creation. If you want to talk about violent scripture other faiths including Christianity fall way short. But while I still have a lot of questions about the faith, I believe in the good of Islam. All my school teachers of the Islamic subject at school were good people and they taught me good things. Most of us Muslims are sad about and angry at radical Muslims who create terror in the name of Islam. For most of us, it's not what our faith stands for. I hope more and more people realize that a few bad apples doesn't mean a whole crate of apples is bad.

As I encountered other religions with less misunderstanding I started to see things differently, and when I discovered and studied Islam, I found my connection and a source of amazing scholarship and deep understanding. Because Islam originated with Muhammed in Arabia and environs in ancient, biblical times, the cultural and time determined aspects of the religion and culture can seem foreign because they are! But the truths and practices are universal so don't ever be discouraged, look to your inward understanding while pursuing outward knowledge that may help you develop the perspective and knowledge that will click for you. It is from their religion where YHWH worship was popularized brought by some outer tribes into the Canaanite pantheon and worshipped YHWH along with his more powerful brethren Baʿal and their father the Chief God of the Canaanites El who a lot of things in Abrahamic religions are named after ie. IsraEL SamaEL etc. Even stories like YHWH defeating Leviathan was taken from Baʿal vs Lotan or his proper name Litanu who was a servant of the sea god Yammu and is also a sea serpent and is defeated by the benevolent storm god Baʿal.

@ManUtdGirl893 жыл бұрын
@@FactStorm wow, u think u know stuff. Women get less inheritance cause men are suppose to be the breadwinners, wether it’d be her father or Husband, and if a woman chooses to work, well, her money is hers, whereas her husband’s is not only his but his wife’s too, Islam was the 1st religion to give women inheritance, so in Islam, women can work or just stay at home and still get inheritance. And as for testimonies, women are more emotional then men, its a Fact, so women can tend to be swayed by emotions, like the phrase, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned”, so women’s testimonies can be swayed very easily by emotions and hormones too. And as for girls being forced to wear the headscarf, where are you getting this information from the Anti-islam/anti-muslim media or the French. Headscarf should be encouraged, not forced, it was instructed to women to honour us and to make us feel like if we are loved and appreciated, its cause of our mind & soul, not our body or looks. And if anything men are getting mire sins then women, cause Muslim men are instructed to lower their gaze if the presence of non-relative women. So you think you know stuff, but you are just like every other Bigot, taking things out of context without even knowing the real purpose or meaning behind it, seriously your Bigotry is showing big time. And btw Religion helps ppl with depression, if they completely rely on God’s will and their faith.

Rather they embraced the good thereof. Yes their case is slightly different because Arabic is the language of Islam and should be the second language of every non Arab Muslim because its obligatory on every Muslim to learn it as many imams have declared! Being an Arab wont get you into Jannah or being white but that doesn't mean that it's not important because Allah clearly says in the Quran that he has made us into different nations and tribes so that we come to recognize and come to know each other!! The different diverse cultures of different races and nations is something natural and it distinguishes people and identifies them and it's very very beautiful! To say theres no white Muslim is to deny my and many others reality and roots. It's a very ill thought out statement but I appreciate the meaning that we are Muslim first before anything else and that these differences of culture and race are secondary to the unity of the ummah! However these days the ummah is divided on sectarian and theological differences and so I suppose you will object when I say that I am a Hanbali/Shaafi'i even though I studied these schools in depth with authority and authorisation after conclusion and passing exams becoming part of a long chain of Muslims being authorized in the same texts stretching back 1300+ years! And so ascribing to these schools is true and lawful because it denotes the legal methodology I follow and this has been accepted practice for the same 1300+ years and Imam Ibn Taymia رحمه الله concedes this because he is an Imam of the Hanabila so hes an Arab Hanbali Muslim whether you like it or not. As long as these personal realities dont divide then they are perfectly permissible.

This was pretty interesting. I think it's definitely people like him that can help eliminate the lunacy many people in this country have. They need to see what it looks like for cultures to blend. I'm an atheist, so I don't see the spread of any religion as good for society, but I do see peaceful interaction between cultures as good. So long as it leads away from stronger worship to the ethereal and more towards the growth of knowledge and improvement of the scientific process.
@aluisious6 жыл бұрын
Worship of the ethereal would be fine. The universe is beyond our comprehension, if someone wants to have feelings of wonderment and awe about that, it seems reasonable enough to me. It's when they start giving their gods stupid names like Dave, and commandments like Dave says you've got to throw a sturgeon at anyone walking on the north side of the street on a Wednesday, that there's a problem. That's not ethereal, that's a very well defined kind of stupidity that by intuition and reason can't have anything to do with the actual mysteries of the universe.
@bubabarrow49602 жыл бұрын
To say that you don’t see the spread of any religion as good for society is your opinion and you’re entitled to it. You too do have a religion and it is atheism so believe what you believe and let others do the same. You know even a pin is made by someone and it’s made to serve a purpose but a complex being like a human or any living breathing thing is an accident is silly. Look around and tell me what was/is not made by someone. I’m an engineer and know no logical arrangement comes about through accidents. If you truly believe you came about as a result of an accident, you’re devoid of logic.

This was an amazing & heartening film. In current times, it's so hard to not be cynical about fellow Americans & see how fear of the Other is so entrenched and made a big resurgence despite decades of movements & messages urging people to think differently. Its good to be reminded there are still people even in our small towns & most conservative areas who are living by example and showing there are constructive ways to come together and respect each other despite our differences by showing what we share in common as humans
