There are a few conditions that can cause redness of the eye. We all get worried when our eyes

people may experience colored halos, when they look at a bright object like a bulb or candle, they
see colorful lights around it.

your iris, gets inflamed. The classical symptom of iridocyclitis is photophobia i.e. You may also have
a dull pain on the side of the eye which has Iridocyclitis. These are classic symptoms and the eye
will not have any discharge.
Fourth, scleritis and episcleritis - This is nothing but the inflammation of the white part of the eye.
In this condition, the eye is red but you will not have a headache, photophobia, or discharge. The
classical symptom is tenderness of the eye, if you touch the area that is red with your eyelid, it will
pain.
Last, foreign body in the eye - If you have watering from the nose, on the same side of the eye that is
red, you may have a foreign body in your eye. You may also have irritation in your eye. You can
wash your eye, or blink inside a cup of water, but don’t try to remove the foreign body with your
hand because you can do more harm than good. Visit the doctor immediately.
