Hi! Just a tip, but if you want to make your closet look really nice and decluttered and clean, you can use all of the same type of hangers. I did this in my closet and it helped soooo much💛

I was thinking exactly the same... it's great to give away clothes, but hopefully the purpose is not to have an excuse to buy more to fill the closet again, and then the cycle goes on and on... I hope more people will start buying more classic and higher quality pieces that will stay in the closet for a long time :)

@@winterbells1 70% of clothing donations end up in landfill. Clothing made from polyesters and other plastic-based fabrics take thousands of years to biodegrade. The responsible way to declutter is to unsell. Donation is too easy, dump and run, make yourself feel like you are "doing good". Make the declutter an effort, sell the clothing, find legitimate places to recycle. The ethical and sustainability issues with the fashion industry are second to none. Perhaps educate yourself before calling people who care about the planet "environmental lunatics".

This is one of the most satisfying cleanouts because usually what i saw in videos was people only giving away like 5-10% of their closet, but you actually gave away a lot, so it gave me great joy and inspiration to clear out my own closet as well. More power to you gurl! 😃❤👍🏻

I would put your long sleeve tops upon top with the short sleeve ones so they wouldn’t drag on the floor, good job I would recycle all the store hangers that come when you buy clothes because they make the closet look messy

You know, it actually would be better to buy less in the first place instead of keeping a cycle of filling your wardrobe and decluttering it year after year. Production of clothing greatly damages the environment, in particular it wastes and pollutes so much water. Also, many charities are constantly swamped with used clothes donations and have to throw them away.

Awesome! 46 degrees in phoenix this morning! Highs today 65! The coldest temperature ever in all of arizona was -40 degrees set at Hawley lake at an elevation on 8,200 feet! The hottest temperature ever recorded in Arizona was 128 degrees set at lake havasu city with an elevation of 735 feet! Lake havasu city lies low near the Colorado River so its always very hot in the summer! Lower elevations in southern and western arizona have mild winters and blazing hot summers while Higher elevations in northern Arizona get snow and more milder summers!

I hate to sound toxic, but this is so unsustainable. Do you replace your wardrobe every year? It's so much better to be thoughtful with what you donate (and with what you buy in the first place) because not all of it will end up in a new home- in fact a large percentage of clothing that gets donated goes to landfills...

In my household, we just use old clothing as cleaning rags. I’m also hesitant about donating clothing because it clogs up the environment. There’s also the option of burning them.

I don’t understand the purpose of giving away so much: style change, weight gain, etc.? If you just want to give to charity, they would benefit so much more if you gave money, instead. Then, you could take the things to a textile recycling place instead, it’s much better for the environment. Often they just throw all clothing directly into bins bound for the landfill and they have to pay for that. We all have so much, and it’s all so cheap to buy new, that no one wants used clothing unless they are very good brands and quality and are in perfect condition. You could also send them to ThredUP and donate the money you receive, but I think you might need it to replace your wardrobe.
