Hey! so i know i'm in all of your older videos, but for the grain, what we do since we are a private barn and have 16 horses , we put our grain in trashcans and write the type of grain that it is on the bin, and since i'm still learning all of the feed mixes, you can put a white board with each horses mix.

The tack room looks great! But, as someone not from the US, I have a question which bothered me for the longest time: Why does the saddle correspond to the person and not the horse? Where I am from, each horse has its own saddle fitted to its back and checked on every so often (at least that's the best case). One saddle can't possibly be ideal for everyone there so I am just curious why and how this works? I do know that nearly everyone rides with a half pad (which is mostly used as a temporary solution here or when a horse has an extremely difficult back/is very sensitive to pressure) but that doesn't solve the different tree widths for different horses... Or at least that's what I've learned. By any means, I am not attacking anyone I am just interested in the cultural exchange :)

Pinkespluescheinhorn It’s probably because the saddle corresponds to the owner of the horse - it’s just so it’s easier to see who owns what piece of equipment. The saddle is fitted to the persons horse, not the person, but is still the persons saddle if that makes sense ❤️

I was going to say just about the same thing as Julia. When I bought my saddles, I had a professional saddle fitter come out to make sure the saddles I was buying fit my horse and that they also fit me as well. She now comes out twice a year to check the fit and also to see if she needs to do anything to the saddle, such as reflocking, in case my horse has gained or lost top line muscle or has had any changes to his back shape and also in case the wool in the panels has became hard or lumpy at which point she will take appropriate measures in order to keep my horse comfortable and insure that his back doesn’t become sore. I think that if someone is using the same saddle for more than one horse, either the saddle has been checked and “ok’d” for the horses it is being used on, or if that isn’t the case and they can not afford to have a different saddle for each horse, they will usually have designated pads; either front risers or rear risers or whatever they need to to use for each specific horse in order to ensure that the saddle is as comfortable a fit for each horse as possible.
