Another great video. Some models I've never heard of and some I never want to hear mentioned again. The Piccanto was my pick for a while but I'd by a Honda Jazz now over it for sure. Not much longer in length but a great little car (As your video on the Jazz shows).

Hired a Kia Picanto in QLD with a manual and that gearbox and engine were so much fun! My 6ft3 frame fit well too! Hired a Suzuki Swift Manual after it and the Swift was a major let down... Would drive another Picanto any day!

What about Toyota Yaris? A mate has the 1.5 engine and with usual services it has clocked up 340,000ks already and it flat out refuses to die.

I'd get a Yaris and a Jazz over all of these cars in the list, though are they considered micro?

I had Z11 Cube. I highly recommend getting the CVT version found in 1.5. The 1.4 is known to have some big issues. It's a really fun can and turns heads where ever you go. I'm seriously considering getting one again.
@ewanmok Жыл бұрын
I think it’s the opposite. The 1.5L CVT is notorious for breaking down, forcing most cube fanatics to get the 1.4L z11s and not the 1.5 z11 s or z12s.

I know you've done the Fiat 500, but that and the Panda would definitely be on the list. Also the new Ignis is basically the replacement for the Celerio and I reckon might be better than the Picanto (GT is a different story). Actually wish they would do an Ignis Sport with the 1.0 3 pot from the Swift GLX with a manual transmission. Would be the best tiny city car ever I reckon.

Great article thanks but will you please mention not just terms like economical but also what fuel they require. ULP/95/98 span a variation of up to 30% which can make a 7l/100 car on 98 dearer to fuel than 8.5l/100km on ULP

The Up Exclamation Mark and the Getz are the only two that aren't lumpenly hideous. The hotted up Kia Picanto looks cool but the regular one has that deep sea fish look the other cars here do. :/
@TwistedDonners2 жыл бұрын
I have an 09 Hyundai Getz (which I've had from new)as my daily drive and love driving her. Sure shes got her quirks (and had problems that weren't her fault but the fault of others)but overall she a dream too drive plus I haven't hit 42k kms on her yet either so she has that going for her as well. 2 things that I know from experience are that speakers work well on her lol and that the Getz can take a lot more that people think (managed to fit several bread crates in mine stacked without having to drop the seats). Could go on and on about the my Getz but that'd be an Instagram (which I don't have lol) or face to face or phone call sort of thing (if it was possible) lol 😆 Out of curiosity would the A class Mercedes and 100 class Beemers be classified as micro cars? Good vidoe guys and looking forward to Friday's video eagerly lol.

Sounds better than my 2012 ford focus that has 80,000 kilometers and so far it's had a replacement steering rack due to the electric power steering failing, then the heater core behind the dash failed and now the camshaft position sensor was on it's way out and had to be replaced, water was also leaking into the back hatch compartment because of faulty air duct seals behind the rear bumper, I just got the plastic bung plugs removed so water no longer builds up and I got the heater core bypassed because replacing that means pulling the entire dash out costing atleast a thousand dollars in labor. I'm hoping to trade it in when used car prices settle down and get something decent that is long lasting without so many problems.
@TwistedDonners2 жыл бұрын
@@dalesmith4985 I'd definitely recommend a Getz or Accent (mu brother's car)without hesitation mate as both cars from experience are fun to drive, relatively fuel efficient and cheap to repair. In fact its easy to catch yourself speeding without realising it in the Accent.
@waynehobbs51752 жыл бұрын
I've had 4 Getz over the years. 1.3 manual, 1.4 manual, 1.5 manual and a 1.6 manual. Loved the 1.6 it flew. 3 were new, one was used and only ever had 1 warranty fix and that was the bonnet release failed! Pretty good sine my combined driving of the 4 was over 10 years and 200,000km. My last one pulled a 1.2 tonne camper trailer with 2 adults and 2 kids 2200km from Brisbane to Adelaide over 3 days and averaged 9.5l/100km on the trip. At the time I didn't know it was breaking the rules.
