These trucks in the US are more like luxury cars. People who owned them in other countries would maybe be driving a mid-high tier luxury car or SUV instead. The size and height on its own in the US is a status symbol.

As Kiwi, working art Repco NZ ( a parts company familiar in Aussie and NZ ) You quickly become familiar with cars highs and lows. I've been considering one myself. Other than oil, filter, brake pads ... nothing major with Swifts in general. Heaps around on the road, parts shouldn't be a problem.

981 Generate Boxster and Cayman GTS will become high sought after another decade down. The best of the flat 6 engined Cayman/Boxsters. 718s are way to refined and not raw to drive like the 981s. Even the flat 6 in 718s sound way worse. The 981 generation GTS cars literally sound sooooooooo close to actual GT series cars like the 981 GT4 or any GT3. THe 718 GT4 with the 4.0 liter sounds worse. Granted i still think all flat 6 718s will be sought after too 10 years down. There just won't be much of these around. The 981 is just more raw is my point.

I own the first version of Mark X (2005 model 300G). I have had it for a while now and because mine got older (turning 20 years old), I decided to go for a full restoration on mine, from powertrain to electricals and exterior paint and interior as well. My build is going really well, 2 months into it. But, one thing I must say, I just recently put a new motor in it but, even the original motor was running perfectly smoke with the exception of some smoke out the exhaust. But, its a testament to toyota's engineering. The original motor working smoothly even after 20 years of service. The motor in mine is 3GR-FSE 3.0 liter. Its a really fun and reliable car to drive around. There are really cool body kits for these cars out there.

Why are car people so obsessed with fast wagons? I don’t know if it’s driving position or what. I love them simply because I grew up in wagons, I like cars that go fast, and I’d rather have a lower sedan seating position rather than a higher SUV style one

I have had them twice as hire cars once had sport seats and the CVT transmission it was great and drove well the 2nd time it was a more base with a 6sp auto and it was a slow heap of shit
such many none sense😂 you have zero base for those picks😂 as for an clue, macan 2014-2022 all, ALL have transfer case issue. My macan is 2020 made and suffers this, NEVER pick macan😂😂

Chances are what's been here named 1>2 gear issue, might actually be 'VW' thing - this lag was infamous even with Audi Q8's with 5.0TDI's due to 'emissions lag' they thrown in, probably ECU?

I have to disagree that cars are being made disposable, but it's another phenomenon that is creating this idea It's fuel economy, cost, safety and regulations and enviromental impact that is driving it all from different angles that are ruining what the auto manufacturers can even create. Long service history is almost 100% due to on paper long service intervals with the thinnest oil possible will both boost fuel economy and make the service life of the car greener with waste oil pollution and emissions, long life is 2nd as there are no rules on how long a car or its parts should last Safety regulations are ruining bodylines of cars, the super high windowline of passenger cars nowdays, the weird shapes and chassis styles that are needed to be certified for sale etc all make cars harder to style nicely And then there's the target audience, who unfortunately for us enthusiasts, is 90% NPC activity, so all the want is the latest fancy looking car with the latest tech, and latest fancy looking by all means does NOT equal something that is genuinely a beautiful car. Cars and even things these days are not largely made "disposable" they're made to a cost, and sometimes to a specification that renders making things "last forever" nearly impossible, or just far too expensive.

The Mark X doesn't have a manual mode, it's called a "range mode". When in this mode you can select the max gear the car can go it, but it'll still decide when to change gear. So it's not being slow, it's still changing based on throttle position and revs.

My 15 came with Tein Flex Z,Greddy RS Evolution Single exit and Enkei RPF01 look alikes. Probably a former drift car, judging by the front shocks being completely loose instead of tightened when I finally fiddled with the settings.

God damn I find rhese cars so beautiful. Sa Hane most if them are eight hand deive and the maintenance is so iffy. I read you kinda need to rebuild the engine every 80-100k miles
