Awesome. The finger wheel option is such a need for me and the way I shoot. I shoot a lot of hand held and wide open on many projects. I have been waiting for a system like this for us small form factor camera shooters.

Looks like a great product... one point of interest - where do you get the gear wheel attachment for the lens? Is that also available at redrock? Also for your digital SLR what type of lens are you using for your videography?

good review thanks a lot but on your pic I see one thing that you didn't mentioned while giving the links its sitting on the right from the basestation, its some sort of an adaptor with a holes for 15mm rods can't find it on B&H and you really need it to attach the basestation to the rods on gimbal, lets say. Would be thankful for the link to that small piece.

Hey Nice Lady would you so nice to tell me if this exact setup could be coupled with redrock scout system but you now, without duplicate parts since scout HX also has the torque motor and base station. I hope you understood the question. Redrock support team is providing more or less generic responses like they dont care if they make a sell or not.

Hey, sorry to not respond sooner. As far as I know the Scout is its own little beast. Redrock has basically taken the fingerwheel and built it into a handle for mirrorless cameras. The cool thing is they took the torque motor and stuffed it in the base as well. The Scout shoot operate like the Micro Remote. I'm really looking forward to RedRock's upcoming wireless follow focus system. Cheers.

Hmm - no mention of price, no negatives, no comparison with competing products - could easily mistake this for an advertisement.

I try to review products I think are worth reviewing and products I don't think have been reviewed sufficiently enough to make a proper decision on. This wasn't meant to be a follow focus comparison. Redrock has just announced their Eclipse system which uses the same hand controller but has the motor incorporated into the torque motor so that's one piece. That would be my one want, a two piece vs three piece system.
