There are much easier ways of doing decoupage now that I've seen online this year. You do your first coat of decoupage, put the napkin not cut out on top of it while it's wet. Leave a small border overhanging. Let it dry. Go back and play some piece of parchment over it, and iron it. The decoupage glue will melt, and your tissue will adhere without any wrinkles. Then, instead of cutting around the edges tediously with scissors, sand around the edges with a small sanding block for crafting, or even use an emery board for something really small. I appreciate the idea for the air-dry clay, though. I have some beautiful paper cutouts that I need backing for, and they are two detail to make individual woodcuts for, but cutting them out of air-dry clay with an exacto knife will be a way to achieve that. Thank you and merry Christmas
@RedRockingBird Жыл бұрын
Sanding the edges off when on something more solid like wood is easier than in air dry clay, which is why I did it in this way
