Great to see young musicians working in the grand tradition of Tangerine Dream! Well done.

I lost my orginal DVD in a drive failure around 2005. I emailed the band about ordering another but was told there were no more, however one of the band members sent me their personal copy free of charge. Not many people would do that so they have my utmost respect. Hail Redshift.

to make music this good in a studio is amazing but to make it live is crazy! Mark Shreeve's sequencing is beyond comparison. I am a huge fan of Baumann era tangerine dream but Redshift are better in my opinion. If Redshift had existed in the 70's I'm sure they would have been as huge as tangerine dream.

I partly agree with you, and Redshift sure follow in the footsteps of Mark Shreeve and Ron Boots (and don't forget Ron Geesin!). But remember TD had no synthi or money - they made them up as they went along! They spent some 90% of their incomes in the 70s on new equipment that filled a minivan (or two...). The first synthi - pre-theremin - sounded awkward at best, whereas the first Minimoog arrived in 1970 (but first there were some great records made with the Mellotron, from 1963 and onward), and retail price for the "Mogue" (as it's pronounced) was £1,495. For that kind of money you could get a small house (or a very big car) in those days, and the first musician to bring it on tour was Keith Emerson, who treated it like Jerry Lee Lewis (he kind of like f**ked it) on tour with ELP's versio of Mussorgskij's/Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exposition' in 1970. But he could afford it, having made a big wad of money already with The Nice, whereas TD were fresh out of art schol and studies for Karlheinz Stockhausen. And Peter Baumann was born as late as 1953... Nevertheless, Redshift are great, and the concert above actually reminded me more of Manuel Göttsching/Ashra (Tempel) than anything else. /J, Sweden

Tangerine Dream style modular synth and guitar at it's best! Red Shift is good at it for sure. I've been a Tangerine Dream fan since the eighties and I prefer their seventies modular material best- Pheadra, Ricochet, Force Majeure, etc.

It was a real nice Live performance especially with the MOOG, you could feel the pressure of the MOOG sounds. What a power.

This was the video where I happened to see Redshift first time in my life. I have adored them ever since. This video in particular is so good quality, I must return to it year by year. Redshift managed to reach the highest spheres of Old Berlin School. There can be others as good as Redshift, but better - not possible.

Awsome, but an emulation of TD 70s sounds, however, love the sequencing, its how TD should've have stayed, instead of going short form commercial synth rock. The sequencing in this performance is outstanding. Thank you for this brilliant upload, great to see Redshift performing live.

Rob.....Man is like I hear Gilmour and Santana in one. I'm an ex BiBoB drummer but, I grow back in Greece with TD. Till 90's they decided to go commercial, WTF? I've came across with your music guys 2 weeks a go! Please keep the Berlin School alive! When will see you's in Melbourne?😁😅😃

I absolutely love this band!! I only discovered them a few months back...sorry to say, but recently downloaded all their albums from Bandcamp. All their albums are great! Having a few issues with the downloads, but that's not Redshift's fault! Love their music!!! Hope they will continue doing more recordings in the future!! Thank "YOU" for posting this video, even though it's incomplete. Was there an official release of this performance on DVD? If so, PLEASE let me know if there's somewhere...ANYWHERE, I can purchase it! Thanks again!!

OMG. In 2002 still the sounds, textures, themes and instruments from the seventies. It's all a massive shameless copy of TD's "Ricochet" and similar works. Any new ideas, gentlemen?

Baumann Era TD dose not sound anything like this - this is some guys having fun - and alot of people digging it - if anything this is late 80's TD perhaps - but nowhere from the 70's. Get into their concert music from the era.
