The idea is the more You will tell Yourself not to go into Depression or Stop Anxiety or Panic Attacks the More it will come as Human Mind is Rebellious so Please Don't go the Opposite way or Don't try even to stop your anxiety or depression as due to action reaction it will come more as Human Brain is Rebellious & Argumentative ,So The idea is to take out the fuel from the thoughts as the fuel is provoking those anxious thoughts so don't give your thoughts fuel or simply tell your mind our yourself this is very normal & boring thought & it has nothing much importance the minute you will start doing it the brain won't get a counter thought to argue or fight with so the fuel will start blown off & gradually the thoughts will go just as you don't think about your lunch or breakfast you took 3 days ago as it was a very normal & boring event same way trick your mind to normal & boring events ,as Only You & You are giving Fuel to the Brain by giving 10 thoughts in Counter part & due to those 10 thoughts 10 More thoughts were born in Defense of Anxiety & Depression So You have to stop giving fuel to the brain as Only You & You are responsible for making yourself anxious so First thing You have to do is to stop this Counter Debates & arguments with the brain & then you will see the anxiety will disappear ,as subconscious mind is always surrounded by fear from & the moment you start discussing with your mind,Mind will be more feared & then anxiety & panic attacks will arise so a very very simple strategy is to consider it as a very very normal & too much boring event so subconscious mind will get rid of fear & your anxiety will go as there is never an exact reason of anxiety its just a cloud of thoughts will uncertain thoughts with no firm thoughts & your one thought of firmness of considering it normal & boring will disperse the cloud of ambiguous thoughts away, Understand the game of brain as one thought even in oppose or in counter attack will give rise to so many other thoughts as a chain reaction so just don't give any argument or counter thought same way when you are sinking in mud the more efforts you give to come out the more you will sink in the mud same way don't give here any efforts here as well otherwise you will sink in the mud of anxiety ,even as you cannot explain a good or a bad experience in words ever so just don't try even to explain in words or thoughts , just feel an experience good or bad when you felt it the matter is finish, let it go , you cannot again explain it in words or thoughts to yourself & if you will try to do will give you anxiety & panic attacks

Thank you. A positive emphasis to thought is vital: "I charge you all that each one of you concentrate all the thoughts of your heart on love and unity. When a thought of war comes, oppose it by a stronger thought of peace. A thought of hatred must be destroyed by a more powerful thought of love." ~ Baha'i Faith

Thank you, this has been very helpful. I am on a waiting list to receive CBT and your video is good pre- session information. The most powerful parts for me were about recognising thoughts are not us and changing relationships with thoughts. I have recently been practising Mindfulness and I find this compliments recognition of triggers of anxiety. I am glad you recognised that depression is numbing and how hard it is do motivate yourself. Too much 'Think positive and things will get better' is soul destroying.

Mindfulness is definitely very helpful and compliments CBT! I put out a video on Mindfulness and CBT - I'd be curious to know what you think of it! (Also just released one on CBT and Generalized Anxiety Disorder)

Are we to float around in empty space? Why is not circumstances and environment included in CBT map 0:01? If a person gets signals from everywhere that they are unwanted, what to do with that?

mindfulness & grounding activities... Take a mindful walk. During your walk, identify 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you feel, 2 things you taste and 1 positive thing about yourself... etc...

I'm the same. I find chanting Hare Krishna helps. There's other chants you can use but this works for me. You don't need to follow the religion. I would advise looking up Alan watts meditation techniques. He talks about how us anxious people who can't control breathing, the reason we do it is because we are trying to cling on to life. We have to learn to let go and live in the moment. As he says tomorrow never comes, now is what matters. We think we are gonna die... We are not dead!!!!! Once again we are thinking about what happens if I can't get my next breathe.... We feel like we suffocating... He explains how the breath outwards is a sigh of relief. That's why when we're relieved with something we go "phewwww" and breath out and wipe the sweat of our heads. People will do things like this when they passed an exam or things that aren't actually a danger to us. When really before modern times we would have done stuff like this after running from a predator like a lion or whatever. You're heart rate would have gone up and you would have sweated a lot to get away. So it makes sense for you to say "pheww" and wipe the sweat of ur head back then. We're too worried about the breathing in when the natural relief comes with the breathe out. You have to use self help techniques. 1, Mediation (I advise Alan watts technique) 2, Mindfulness mediation (which isn't technically mediation) but very useful for anxiety 3, COLD SHOWER!!! Very important. Don't allow your body to feel like it's unnaturally sweating, it takes a while to get used to it but you will feel soooo much better 4, Don't eat late at night. Dark outside? Don't eat. 5, sweating, naturally by exercise. 20 mins each day. I do yoga I think this works best for mindfulness. A lot of sports kind of require you to have a big ego so just be careful with things like that. If you wanna go cycling don't race people, go at your own pace. The only goal is to sweat not for your ego to get a boost. 5, CBT you need to re wire you're brain, when you sneeze, you put you hand to you're nose which is a natural response. You can train yourself not to do this, same as anxiety. 6, laughter, first thing to do when you wake up is laugh for atleast 5 minutes... Literally force you sealed to laugh! People are actually doing this in the work place now, don't quote me on it but I think the some Google employees do this. Try it when u see this message. It's extremely difficult not to feel a moment of joy afterwards. You will naturally smile and release endorphins. It's like a free drug haha.

Im sorry to hear you have to deal with the breathing issue and glad to hear im not alone. For long time i thought i was going crazy, always concentrating on my breathing and for a minute here and there i forget about it but then it comes back and then i start scaring my self thinking what if i stay like this forever. I still suffer this condition but it has gotten to be so old already that im some what used to it. Some times i hyper ventilate but the wierd thing is i cant catch my breath or i feel like i might lose my breath and cant breath. The body is a powerful thing, your body knows what to do to survive, quiting bad habits like Caffine, alcohol and cigarettes helps, drinking lots of water realy helps to ease you anxiety about your breathing. Exercise and physical activity helps. Detoxify your body. I see you had posted 10 months ago, i hope you have found away to relieve your anxiety.

There is a correspondence with power when you realize that anxiety is rooted in a need to be served by God and not feel he can be of better assistance with the Earth and this Mob mentality covered in a guilt trip. Cognitve therapy is ultimately a contagious mental fixation on how to learn more aoout everyone but ourselves, and hope it makes us smarter instead of valuable and happy in our "core belief"

ANXIETY JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO HAVE INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS ABOUT MYSELF THAT I DONT FEEL ABOUT ME. I KNOW THESE THOUGHTS ARE LIES. THATS WHY I FEEL LIKE THEIR NOT MY OWN.

Agree. We need to teach people to transcend the mind. Not educate them to solve the problem with the problem itself. Books like A new Earth, Power Of Now helped me to dis-identify with the mind.
