I enjoyed listening as you speak slowly and clearly. I am a teacher and I know how important it is to pace new skills, show and explain each step by step. The other videos I have seen by you tubers, pack too much in. Now I see how you reveal new colours by taking out the previous colours. I couldn’t work it out and now I know. I want to do a face in the same way, so it will be a lot easier, as I see I need to take each colour out and print over from light to dark.

Thank you, that's so kind of you to say. I come from a family of teachers so I must have learned something from them!

How long should you wait before printing another colour on top?
@Handprinteduk3 жыл бұрын
The ink underneath should be dry ideally. With water-based inks this just takes 20 minutes or so, depending on the thickness of ink and the temperature. With oil-based inks this takes a few days or even a week or two.
@valguilbert49253 жыл бұрын
Can you use acrylic paint.
@Handprinteduk3 жыл бұрын
Acrylic paint isn’t suitable for printing lino cuts. It will dry fast and stick to your plate, it will also not roll out as smooth as a block printing ink.
@valguilbert49253 жыл бұрын
Can you print straight onto cards
@Handprinteduk3 жыл бұрын
You can, but cards tend to be quite stiff so it can be tricky to get a good print.
