I got the same boots at a red wing store too. They measured my foot, got the right size and they're great, very comfortable. Sometimes I'll wear them on weekends cuz they're more comfortable than my sneakers.

Nice Boot! Years ago I switched to light weight boots and it changed my life... It's great to see Redwing is offering wider boots, that was always an issue for me! Thanks!!!!!

If this comment gets back to you, I will be shocked. Just browsing to see reviews. Seen your comment, after two years my Redwing boots look nothing that healthy, this dude has two years left in them on the job. I work as a Welder/Fabricator, one the most damaging jobs on work clothes and work boots, Keep being you John, Love your content.

This are great. I’m a diesel fleet mechanic working on concrete ALL day and I’ve had these for two years. I absolutely MURDERED mine compared to your two year old pair though! I must be way tougher on my feet than I thought. About to get a new pair through the company though 😁

I just bought a pair of these and went through the sizing process at the store. To start with alittle tight but not unbearable almost like a firm handshake. I had usually bought my boots wide or extra wide but they measured a D width. So i have them on at work giving them a try and i like them so far but i do have 11 hrs to go so we will see. The build of these are different from other boots because i get the toe room i want without having to go wide on the size. The guy at the store said thats why i get calluses on the balls of my feet is because of the boot being too wide and my foot slipping around. But i had to do that to get the toe room i wanted on other boots but not on these so far as i can see :)

I've had my first pair of redwings for about 6 months now, I love the look and durability, good quality leather. I want to love them so bad but sadly for me, they just aren't very comfortable. Kind of seems like they just aren't breaking in very nicely. Bottoms of my feet are definitely sore after a work day. Probably the most uncomfortable/poorly broken in boots I have ever worn, even compared to a 200$ dakota! I wish they were more comfortable and I would never buy another type of boot again

I wear the same boot but in a soft toe. I have been wearing redwing exclusively for 10 years now. I swear by them. I prefer the non steel toe version for the lighter weight. The steel toe version is great as well but it leaves my feet tired after 10 hours of my electrician job and then farming over 3500 acres. Redwing are pricey but well worth the money i get a year out of them but they get exposed to mud grease and manure. Nice video.

@@RJHmbk1 608 I have had 3 pairs of them over the years and they are the best soft toe boot from redwing that I've found. I only wear redwing shoes for work. I am an electrician and a farmer i wear mine 16 hours a day six days a week average. I can get almost 2 years out of them if I keep them oiled every other month. The oil prolongs the life of the leather and I wipe any excess dirt off of them daily .

I dont get it. Im pretty hard on boots, and my last pair of 608's lasted 7 years before the soles wore out, doing farm work, mechanics and concrete work.The uppers are still good, so I might have those resoled. I have never once oiled them or put any type of leather conditioner on them. What the heck do you people do to wear these out in a year or two?

I've done red wing resole. It's worth it if your boots are in fairly good shape still. If you have stretched or misshapen the leather due to uneven sole wear, I wouldn't bother, the boot won't fit right.

Red Wings aren’t the same boots they were 20 years ago. I’ve worked construction for almost 30 years. Use to always by Redwing but over the years the quality of their soles have gone down hill. Two different boots one soft sole one hard sole Soft sole lasted 4 months hard sole lasted about 6 months. 300 plus dollar boots should last at least a year. I will never by Redwing again.

I'll have to check these out. I have problems with my feet. I'm constantly looking for a better shoe and/or better fit seems after a few weeks I'm not satisfied with what i purchased. Last year i bought two different kinds and disappointed with both. Hows the J.D. 3025e doing? I still have mine but wanting to upgrade a 3025 D series. They have the geared transmission which I am more accustom to. Thanks Dave.
@stuntcardriver
@stuntcardriver 5 жыл бұрын
The 3025e is sitting at the dealer. It developed a miss at lower rpm. I dumped the fuel and still had a miss so I assumed injectors. Dealer told me I didn't have any warranty left. I said if you tell me the injectors are bad we're going to have a problem. An engine with 80 hours needs injectors? That's manufacturer defect and you (dealer) will be covering it. They called yesterday and they had ordered injectors and that it will be covered under some sort of emission warranty.

I've got almost 50 hours on mine. So far no issues. Its done everything I've needed to do. I was at our local dealership the other day and very much like the new upgrades on the 2019 models. I'll probably end up keeping what i got, its about paid for, and still serves my needs. Thanks my friend.
