Interesting that Zeromus's future death probably will make Golbez rethink his ways since his friend's cristal fell into Zeromus and is now a part of it. After he dies the friend and Azdaja will be free.

actually the current golbez is a fake golbez, his friend. golbez died and he assumed his identity to honor him

My apologies for the PS4 Controller disconnects sounds, turned audio down for it, lately my controller has been so worn down esp. after may be 10,000+ combined pulls for DSR, TOP, Savages, EX and playing with friends in XIV over years i couldn't do my rotation reliably on it anymore, sometimes get unintentional inputs with D-pad that i had to be aware of and cancel asap, had to play like this early in TOP prog, so easy for cable to disconnect due to USB connection wearing down after while, that it even caused few wipes. I don't have a PS5 yet, want to for XVI so i can use PS5 controller on PC as well

Thank you for this. I wonder if we will call upon Ryne and Gaia to help balance the aether of the 2 worlds? I hope they don't only use the light from the 1st to defeat Zeromus, but also balance out the darkness in the 13th, while also using the darkness from the 13th to balance out the light in the 1s.

Call me crazy... There is that other piece of Zodiark thats up on the moon in the first... Could try and use that aether to make a tamed lightwarden... Again REALLY STUPIDLY dangerous idea but... Hey we do the craziest plans.

We've been helping out the 1st by driving out the light aether but never actually introduce darkness to it, pretty ironic since we've been called "Warrior of Darkness" (tho we can argue that scientifically, darkness is the absence of light, so removing the light should result in darkness). Plus we now have the tool that is capable of manipulating an entire world's aether via Eden. So we can absolutely use that

@Tjong David We didn't drive out the light. We stopped the astral light from stagnating the remaining umbral darkness. Remember, it's the effects of the aether that is the problem. It's not enough to just throw light and dark at each other. All it would do is cause a clash. The other elements need to be present to change the two conflicting aether in each world into something usable. But to fight a voidsent of overwhelming darkness It's way easier just to blast it with light to cause stagnation.

Lemme clear this up the memoria flashback is from Golbez’s point of view Durante is the friend here and if you listen is the same voice as the “Golbez” we’re facing. It’s pretty much painted on the wall Durante assumed Golbez’s identity since he is the one who died/got sealed in the crystal. Durante is more or less parading around in his friends guise to make him the hero of the 13th

the wol is seeing from golbez' pov because its a memory contained in their memoria crystal. also who knows, after all ardbert is the wols shard. and people have been theorizing that durante is supposed to represent ff4 cecil, not theodore/golbez

Thanks for the video! I'm curious to who or what Golbez is. Was he the mage that got turned into the memoria? Or is he some form of primal? And im also wondering if he's the Fandaniel of the 13th because of his laugh and his relation to Zodiark

I guess we have a Cecil and Golbez situation where Golbez dies and Cecil takes his place. Golbez is the swordsman, he uses the mage's helm after the got into a crystal.

@@artcorbeau i see, this makes sense^^ Lore can get confusing for me in this game since ppl can switch bodies and whatnot. I thought Golbez was the blond guy with the sword that somehow fused himself with that body of armor (and changing his name to Golbez). That, and the voice actor was the same so Golbez had to be the blond guy before the failed rejoining occurred. But then comes the long blue memoria crystal thing and the mage, and 'Golbez' was holding his now-helmet in another cutscene, and then everything just got mixed up and I'm still confused about everything lmfao

@@kyrxon277 If it helps, you're just overthinking it. Long hair dude is the guy we fought on the moon. He's just wearing the other guy's armor, because the other guy died/got put in a crystal. Wasn't any body swapping or fusions, he's just wearing a different outfit and changed his name.
