How is the upper compared to the normal floatzig 1 upper, is its around the same volume or tighter?

A good amount tighter honestly. A lot more rigid as well

Men la placa va en medio de la entresuela o en la parte superior.. cuando va en la parte superior suelen lastimar la facia y se sienten menos amortiguadas..

Is it for a forefoot striker?

Not necessarily, it’s a mid drop style so it’ll work for all foot strikes but it will ultimately come down to your preference of cushion

I liked the original Floatride Energy X, Im not sold on this floatzig thing, it seems abit of a gimmick over giving something extra.

I really like the normal floatzig but it’s not the geometry that makes the shoe so I’d agree the geometry is a gimmick but it doesn’t take away from the ride at all. The floatzig 1 is my runner up for daily trainer of the year
