Excellent video with a great, unbiased opinion about your equipment. Love the 3D printed mounts too. One suggestion is that i can tell you're looking at a screen to see what you're pointing at. If you put the camera directly above or below the screen, you'll have better eye contact with the viewers of the video.

Excellent video Rob! Absolutely having enough power is important in 2 main regards....LED longevity and changes in the tank to more SPS. I think your spectrum and coverage is excellent. I loved that 427 peak with all running and its definitely fat in the 420 to 470 which is a plus.

How do you feel the spread is for the Meso Blue? Does it just drop off at 6-10” away from center?

that's a great question, i guess i never thought to test that originally when I made the video since i had 3 bars along with the panel lights. My par meter is out on loan but i could certainly test that if you really want to know.

I mean there is a detectable shimmer of some sort but it's not a spot light thing at all. I like some and I've had kessils over my tank so I know what the king of shimmer looks like. This is something different and much better.

@@RobBzReef I agree that the Uno's are probably the best quality, bargain priced, LED fixture available today. I'm also a fan of the Quanta's. I'm running meso blues with my Kessils and T5 blue plus.

Great comprehensive review however, you didn’t explain what you were using before besides T5 and I believe Kessil. Which ones were you using? Also, how would you compare the refi to the Radion blues if you ever experienced those before. Last thing, what is your mounting height of the refi.

Thanks for watching! It was a aquatic life dx-18 for the T5's and kessil A360x's. I've not tried the radions so I can't really comment with first hand experience. All my lights are 9" above the water level.

I have learned it’s not about par with acropora it’s more about making sure your light is blanketing every square inch of the coral the parts that are not covered with light drag the coral down from its full potential It is extremely difficult to get that type of light with LEDs even with many fixtures especially with focused lenses I am a big believer in t5 and I think it’s still to this day unmatched performance to any led for the blanket light effect

@@xhongxina286 it's interesting the varied results we across many tanks and different approaches. I'm not a light expert but any means. This was just a video of my experience on my tank. I previously had T5's and kessils over it and didn't see anything near the success I'm having now as I am with these. That could be due to so many variable I couldn't tell you. I'm glad T5's are working for you though! I appreciate the different options out there that can be successful to accommodate style, budget and approaches.

Hey just found your channel! I'm running the Reefi's and used a Parwise to set my PAR levels but corals are getting burned. Have you found that you needed to drop your intensity?

I've lowered my lights after measuring PAR finding that the average light level was too much for the corals. Depending on the species you are keeping, placement can vastly impact that based on your lighting placement and usage.

What's the color look like with just the bars, would you have went with a different combo if you were just going to run them

I would get the combo I have all over again. I showed what each combination looked like in the video. There's a section that I show just the quantas singly and in combination. It's not perfect due to limitations with the cameras I have but it'll give you an idea.
