Another great video, you should have moved the outlet to accessible wall for easy access, this way you don't have to go through pain again if similar issue happens again, thank you for sharing the experience,

Yeah, I always wonder why I went so big on my sump. I should have done a foot or maybe even 2 ft smaller.

Surprised you didn't replace the GFCI with a regular outlet and then put one of those outdoor covers on it to reduce the chance of water ingress. The GFCI could then be relocated to a more accessible outlet further up the circuit. GFCIs will protect any outlet after themselves in the circuit. I ended up doing that myself when upgrading my tank, moving it from behind the tank to a much more accessible outlet next to it. Ended up doing some inadvertent testing while setting up equipment, too, so I proved it did indeed work!

Mannnn. That is a nightmare. I put one of my larger tanks on caster wheels after seeing one of Than's videos. You just never know when you have to get back there!

I have dont that on smaller tanks.. or if you have hard floors, felt pads on the bottom lets it slide al ittle easier.. That was a TON of work! but at least it looks pristine and is running again :)

I’m about to redo the entire tank so a complete shutdown is coming. My tank is overrun with vermetid snails and my rock work is not the best so I’m starting over. This video gives me an idea of what I’m up against. Thanks.

Did you notice if your probes had different readings after the citric acid bath? Did you need to recalibrate? Just curious.

Yes they do. I figured I would let it sit in the tank and they mainly seem normal. I’ll prob recalibrate the ph at some point for good measure

I love vectras but never can seem to get more then a year out of them I recently installed a Sicce while my vectra was off for repairs have you had any issues at all with yours

Really? No issues here. One of the ones on that tank is my original m1 from 6-7 years ago.

It’s a pretty unique design. Has 2 big pucks that you can rotate and move around to mimic the sun and reef bright strips on the side for extra color pop. One of theses days I need to give it a dedicate tank for a proper test. Need more space to mad scientist!
