Has that yellow tang been in there 5 years? Recently put a biota in my 62 (about 3” now) kind’ve wondering how long I have before an upgrade is needed. Also, I wonder if captive bred YTs do better in “smaller” tanks than their wild counterparts. Any thoughts?

It really depends on how big you go, the type of tank and what you add. You can keep it super basic to get started. I probably have thousands into the tank by now.. but thats only because I did upgrades over time.. the used tank was $750 I believe 5yrs ago, and I swapped out the lights right away for used lights which was another $500. Then just added from there. Check marketplaces for good deals.

Thx for the video. What are your water perimeters. DKH , PO4, No3? And how do you keep them in check? That’s a lot of light what par in certain parts of tank… maybe a video would be nice.. you need a bigger tank

actually haven't checked them in a while... I should do that lol -- I usually like them around 8-9, 8.5 is what I am for for alk and 400-450 for C, aim for 450. I have done a par light video in the past check the "aquarium" playlist.. thanks for watching! :)

@ yes, I ask because I carbon dose and it’s been working very well… love the videos ..🤝 appreciate the numbers I like to know because your corals are beautiful… you got some top notch lighting too .. I only have T5.. I’m trying to figure out how to keep trachyphillia .. mine alway melt .. very sad
