I totally agree with the hawfish statement. I have an adult red (flame) hawkfish and it doesn't bother my inverts. Sometimes crabs and shrimps literally walk past it and it doesn't care. It also interferes with other fish fighting and tries to break them up. Love that fish so much especially when it's following you with its eyes watching what you are doing. I also have a goby with a pistol shrimp and they are fine

My falco hawk fish has killed both of my cleaner shrimps(caught it action second time), stripped my sps corals(I assumed there was a water problem to start off with but after watching I saw it eating the pollups off my sps), it harassed my tiger goby to death and I suspect it’s also behind the huge decline in hermit crabs since it’s been added. Despite it being a bad swimmer it’s also impossible to catch! Everything else I agree with on the video however. Very much enjoy watching your videos

Hi first off I just want to say I love the videos and you are a great help to my marine saltwater tank. Just a quick question, I got a starfish just Sunday gone. To come home Monday eve to see the starfish was eaten r fallen apart.. The fish I have are, 2 x clown fish, 1 Royal blue tang, 1 shrimp, 2 x damselfish and 2 x green chromis. Its a 60 L tank. Would you have any idea what could have caused this? Water is 100% as check it regularly. Kind regards, Shane.
@ReefDork4 жыл бұрын
How did you acclimate him? They're very sensitive to salinity changes so need very careful and slow acclimation and rock solid salinity. I'm pretty sure that'll be the cause. Also, I'm afraid you're asking for trouble with a regal tang - 60L is far too small, even for the short term.

Clowns can be surprisingly nasty occasionally. I'm afraid you have two options - remove and rehome the clowns, or don't add any more fish.

I haven’t got a Reef, but that doesn’t stop me dreaming. I also wouldn’t want to do a list of only 6 groups, but if I did I would choose: Clownfish Fairy Wrasse Blennies Shrimp Gobies Tangs Mandarins

Hawkfish chased my dottyback 24/7 and gave him ick from the stress. Also attacked 2 cleaners. Absolute dickheads. I'd avoid.

Sorry to all the blokes that killed their blennies after taking them out to rub their bellies
