Faulty or non calibrated equipment is worst. I had to .1030. And lost flame angelfish to it. I had to to dump two full 5 gallon buckets of RODI plus 7 or 8 gallon separately few hours early and then did a water changes. The devices need to be calibres regularly. Sometimes you need to keep checking regularly manually to make sure it doesn’t goes wrong. I learned the hard way. But the RODI made my calcium which was plus 500 drop to 450. 😂

How often should I be vacuuming my sandbed realistically? I do it about every week or 2 during my water changes. I change out 10=15% every week and I vacuum then, sometimes skipping a week. Do you think it would be a good plan if I do it once a month?

I would say once a month would be good. If you can do half every two weeks that would be better

That Hanna salinity pen is WAY off, according to alot of reviews. I personally have had 2 of them that read 2 or 3 points low, and yes they were calibrated.

If people want to break bad habits they need to stop listening to every so called expert youtuber.
