A bypass aperture is provided and offers the ability for the user to adjust the amount of water that can bypass the fleece - the later is especially useful when feeding the aquarium.

@bigbearmeetslittlebear34013 жыл бұрын
Looks nice. I have to say though that a lot of the features on this--built in box, easy clean, drop in roll--the Klir already has. You just throw away the dirty roll too, no need to "remove" from a spindle, which isnt hard on clarisea it looks like but less touching the grossness i think is better? The early models i guess sucked, but mine works great and it just plops in the filter sock holder.
@ReefDudes3 жыл бұрын
I have not used the Klir, but sounds like its working well for you. I know the original ones had motor issues but i'm sure thats been long fixed by now. I originally decided on the calrisea as the rolls were much larger (longer and wider) which meant it would go far longer between swaps! The Klir is a cool design though and makes it easy to just drop into a sock hole! clever design :)

Not sure if they are available in the USA yet but also take a look at the innovitech XFilter 1.7 way more reliable than the clarisea. Also with a choice of 4 fleece types 9 micron,17 micron,25 micron and 32 micron and 65m long rolls

Are you sure the motor has more torque? My gen2 will stall towards the end of the roll when using a 40m roll and a high water column in the container. So more torque would be welcome. DD told me that their first incarnations were not adapted to the 40m roll.

Most stock sumps have sock holders which you may be able to remove. Aftermarket ones - can find some without sock holder. I believe many of the triton style are more wide open and more flexible
