Hello DIY. I’ve recently changed my fuel filter housing. I got everything back together, had to change to line on small the other runs back up under the truck or frame. But it not priming like it should or no fuel is flowing up through the new housing & all fuel lines show no sign of fuel flowing through when primed. I primed it for a while yesterday but to avail! Is there another way to get it primed with the amount of air that got into the system during the repair? Thx

thanks for you're information can you do video how to drain air from unit when unit sucked air sometimes when you fueling with unit running engine will shut off
@DIYSEMI3 жыл бұрын
YOU DON'T REALLY DRAIN THE AIR... YOU JUST HAVE TO KEEP PRIMING IT TO REPLACE THE AIR WITH FUEL. SOMETIMES IT TAKES A WHILE

I have a older style Carrier unit Great Dane and it’s just the same. What are your thoughts on refurbishing a abused trailer or just buying a newer one in good condition? I got it for cheap and it’s paid off. I probably have to put $10k in my trailer to make it right. The list of problems just never ends. If I get a newer trailer it wouldn’t have problems but I’d be in debt.
@DIYSEMI4 жыл бұрын
Tough call, will the10k make it right as rain? No substitute for paid for. But, everything had its useful lifespan too. Im finding more customers putting 10 year age limits on trailers. I dont think either way is wrong...as long as the debt wonthurt you to bad.
@markm00004 жыл бұрын
@@DIYSEMI I’ve heard that 10 year limit from many people and even my personal mentor. For now it’s fine because of the demand but when this clears up next year... having a old trailer is not going to fly with picky customers. I’ll keep my eyes on the classifieds and have the cash ready when a deal is to be made. Then I’ll clean up this old girl and give her away to someone that’s starting out.

These units use an intake heater , not glow plugs but still use caution if using starting aids.
