Simplicity Doser - Best Budget Doser in the market?

This has been on my to do list for a bit but between personal and professional issues, time was very limited and this got shelved. My desire to make sure that I give this product a proper thorough review, showcasing this product's full capabilities and it's caveats to inform you that there are cheaper, quality options out there IF you can live without few features.
I always tell people to buy the right product the first time and save yourself money in the long run and these product gets my nod of approval and makes me excited to checkout more of their line up.

Does having a dedicated app a necessity for dosers and does it sway you away from units like this or does it affects your decision at all in purchasing a doser for your system?

Hi in your review you say it uses a 1/8 inch hose but the video shows a hose with a product label that says it’s a 1/4 inch hose. Can you please clarify? I’m hoping to pick this up. Thank you!

Hi! It's 1/8" in diameter hose. 1/4" is the out diameter of the hose. :) Thank you for watching and enjoy your new doser!

So, am I correct that this doesn't use hard RO type tubing for input and output, but rather that softer tubing shown?

@ttown918 Yes, I'm using it with the softer tubing. I'm sure you can use it with hard tubing as well, but I preferred it this way for me as to hide the cables better.

Looks like a re-skin of the Jebao doser pumps that cost 1/2 as much. Literally, all the same features, functions, screen, etc. I've had a few of the Jebao versions and they are work horses and super reliable. So I am sure the Simplicity version will be the same :). Just mentioning for those of us who are even more budget conscious. They even have a WiFi version that are app controlled and provides more dosing fidelity 1/2 the price still

Thanks for watching the video and for the comment! I can definitely see the similarity, and I think it's because of the head design. Aquamedic and a few other companies in Europe also utilize the same design as well but at significantly higher prices before imported. Provided cover, controller location is different as well as the service after sale. Jebaos definitely have their place in the hobby as they provide value, and to their creidt, they have increased their quality and reliability over the years. However, it's incredibly difficult for me to promote them due to their constant IP theft against people/companies that I know in the industry. I think it's necessary evil and I'm happy that people are able to enjoy our wonderful hobby because of them but won't go out of my way to promote it if that makes any sense 😆. I will one day talk about it indepth in one of the videos where we just talk. With that said, is having a dedicated wifi app necessary for your decision in owning/ purchasing a doser?

The biggest difference is the US based support and 3 year pro-rated warranty. The second biggest is the MUCH improved design over a Jebao.

Jebao are not reliable! Had 2 units that 2 heads got stuck on permanently no matter how I reset it, garbage. Glad my tank didn't get wipped out

Mine has been working solid and I talked two of my friends into them and they haven't had any issues either. So... if Jebao is unreliable, maybe these aren't Jebao lol, cuz these are reliable. (obnoxious to program, but reliable)

I had a jebao few months ago. Had issues with air before/after pump head. Tossed it to try Simplicity. SAME freaking issue! I tried different connectors and tubing. No clue how air is getting in there! No problem with my GHL that I've been running for almost a decade. Tossing this and will get another GHL.
