Substitute coffee and.. it looked just like the novel "1984". Totally grim, dark, no good food. The only highlight was the deathmark to Sachsenhausen. Thats how bad it was. The Berlin Wall was essentially erected in early 1960’s as there had been a revaluation of the Deutschmark in West Berlin that meant that anyone travelling from East to West would get a favourable currency boost. JFK was in exalted company with Willy Brandt and Konrad Adenauer. JFK was the real deal and a WW2 hero which is not how he is portrayed today.??? Various big shots from the Heer were fortunate to find themselves in the British Sector of Berlin such as Eric Von Manstein and General Rundtstadt. Rundststadt had been hired and fired from OKW it is difficult to keep up with. On the 6th June 1944 when the weather forecasters excelled themselves to the eternal gratitude of posterity, and did perfectly call for a lift in the weather at Normandy ,at dawn.
