Ladyfish or skipjacks. Worth nothing but fun to catch. Seems like you are fishing on a wrong spot. Big ones are on the far left end of the pier because it's the deepest part of the pier. Good luck though. That the most sought-after corner of the pier. Got to be there very early in the morning and beat everybody to get that spot.

romeoETmike that day no one was catching anything on the end of the pier. When we started catching Spanish most people started coming down to us hahaha I like fishing that corner in the fall for Kings out there.

If the end of the pier is full of locals, just yell something about their probation officer coming. They’ll all go scattering back to Chipley like cockroaches

I'm about to go down this week. Is there any tips. I've never tried to really fish in the ocean except last time that hurricane came through but the winds were so strong couldn't get an ounce jig to the water.

Eric Flowers right now the Spanish are running hard so I would use gotchas on a light steel leader or bubble rigs. And you can use shrimp or cut bait on the bottom for red fish and pompano

What type of lures (size) and bait were you using? Test line?

Shinya Nakajima on my smaller set up we used 20 lbs braid tied to a 20lbs steel leader. The lures we used were gotchas and I was using tiny cigar minnows

Hey I talked to you a month or so ago you recommended around the Buchanan bridge on 79. Looks like a surprise trip to PcB and will be 15 minutes from there. Can we fish the bridge for black drum (or others ) from the shore with luck there ? Also what baits do you recommend for there or the surf this time of year. ? Normally do squid and fish bites. Not looking to keep any fish just CPR.

Reel Beasts we went out but have terrible time even with good rides etc no bites just a few pin fish.
