I wish you’d include a no-kink spring with your hoses as you used to a few years ago. No matter how careful I am, I have a subtle kink on the (Eley brand) hose when mounting onto the Eley reel.

Does it get stiff in the sun?

No, it does not. Long-term exposure to UV rays could cause some discoloration, but certainly no stiffness.
