Kaev, I was impressed with the powerful streams from both the shower head and cleaning tip. I would buy the whole thing if i knew it would perform the same for me. I saw in another comment that you dont know the psi in your hose. It would be the same pressure as everything else in your home. That pressure is easily found by simply threading a pressure gauge to your hose bib and then turning the water on to the gauge. It gives an analog reading of your line pressure. I have 60 psi at my place. If that is anywhere near yours im a buyer.
@CarsWithKeav3 ай бұрын
Min runs 60psi constant, but on a meter that stops and builds flow like you mention it would be 80PSI. The great thing about the black tip even if you can’t get my pressure it will get you the best result for whatever pressure you have. It’s amazing how it can mimic the pattern of a pressure washer nozzle and provide such good cleaning power. The rest of my house is much less the line to my wash setup has no restriction. The house supply has a pressure regulator limited to 60 psi max.

i hear galvanic corrosion issues between flexzilla aluminum ends, with Brass fittings. Also, having thinking about it, I believe its better to just skip the 90 degree garden hose brass nozzle from Eley. Just get their shut off valve + cleaning/watering nozzle (fan/shower). Saves Weight and money.
@CarsWithKeavАй бұрын
Have not had any issue so far between the two, but I’ll keep an eye on it. I myself prefer the 90 degree as I like the grip. I have both and prefer it all day especially for water my grass also have the 90 degree when plugging into pressure washer or other things and puts less stress on the hose and takes up room since it just sits straight out. It’s all preference though. Best decision is to out the quick connect at the end of the 90 to quick swap nozzles and connect to other things easier.

Great video Keav. I'm more than perfectly happy with the Orbit that I bought after you reviewed it. The only drawback is the amount of force that it takes to push or pull the thumb control, but that inconvenience is insignificant compared to the sprayer's overall performance. Thanks again.
@CarsWithKeav8 ай бұрын
Agreed the Orbit is amazing and at that price hard to beat. This Eley one is almost too easy to use. If I drop it on the ground the lever sometimes moves a bit causing some spray to come out. It’s hard today is the right amount of tension so it doesn’t accidentally open up and is not so hard to operate. An adjustable tension screw would be a great idea.

I got the eley sprayer a long time ago on the recommendation of someone on a very small detailing forum that included Corey from car pro and it has held up since. I did have to replace the plastic bar that controls the flow because my girlfriend dropped it, but other than that it's been great. Two other items that those hardcore detailer guys recommended that i still use is thr car pro merino wool mitt and swissvax insignis wax (I'm almost out of my second pot and have been dreading the day I have to find something as good)

It's almost 12AM here and I've been going down a rabbit hole to upgrade my car washing setup. Tired of using cheap spray heads and wanted to spend a little more on Eley but wasn't sure if it's worth the cost. The orbit is no slouch and I will get it for my backyard hose. This video is one of the most thorough I've seen with a really impressive plumbing setup. Do you think these heads would perform any different with a 3/4" hose?
@CarsWithKeav6 ай бұрын
They would perform better only if the flow of water from the house is limited by a 5/8 hose which is usually between 10 to 14 gallons per minute. If you are in that range then 3/4 could help, but not many houses can flow that much as usually the piping in the house is 1/2 inch. That’s the main reason my plumbing is 1/2 inch because the feed line is so I saved a few dollars.
@71gmonet8 ай бұрын
I started using the adjustable fan to wash my car but switched to the lowest GPM mesh because the force is higher than the other mesh options. The force is good enough to clean my car without a pressure washer. The only time I break out my pressure washer is when my wheel wells are really dirty after a rain. Definitely would recommend. If you don’t like for sone reason you can always give it to your wife to water the plants because the highest GPM mesh filter is amazing for that. I had to add that Harbor Freight makes a really good wand (not the pistol). It is not as good as the Eley but with the HF discounts it it a great deal.
@CarsWithKeav8 ай бұрын
Yeah, the 1gpm mesh screen gets some really good pressure and flow. It just drenches the panel and gets the soap off so good. It’s been working well for my spotless rinse.

Another fantastic review -- I just picked one up on a father's day sale for the lowest price I've seen, in large part because of your review. Thanks!!! I'm hoping you can help me solve a 'problem' I've been struggling with for a while. I've been looking for a nozzle to swap onto my pressure washer short gun for the final rinse that will give me smooth garden hose like flow, leaving no beads on a ceramic coated car. I'm thinking something with a similar 5.0 orifice that has a garden sprayer type orbit, vs a flat high pressure fan, or maybe even a bigger orifice like an 8.0 to further lower the pressure, but I'm not sure if that will overwork the motor on the AR630. Now I know I could add a garden hose reel to my pressure washer / DI setup, but that's really adding several extra steps to each wash, not to mention the additional cost. Swapping out a nozzle on the short gun would be much better. Current process: presoak with Touch-Less, pressure rinse, spray foam shampoo, hand wash single bucket method, pressure rinse. Current setup: AR630TSS with Cox Reel and OG blue pressure washer hose, OG spec gun, DI Rinse Pro 50 tank. (Just uninstalled the Active VE52 to make room for the AR arriving tomorrow.) If you can come up with a solution for the ideal sheeting/non-beading final rinse pressure washer nozzle I'd be forever grateful. I'm sure if there's anyone that can do it it's you!!!
@CarsWithKeav5 ай бұрын
I have found the black detergent tips work real well for a final rinse when the pressure washer is turned off and just using the flowing water. I don’t like to run my pressure washer without a tip that gets decent pressure. I don’t know if it will damage it running basically garden hose pressure through a running pressure washer. It just sounds like it overworking. That was the main reason I added the garden hose reel I couldn’t get the final rinse pattern I wanted.
@TannerBobbitt8 ай бұрын
Is the pressure stronger on the orbit v sweep setting, or is the Eley cleaning nozzle on the closed setting stronger? Seems like 7gpm from the orbit is still gonna be my preference, if the pressure is comparable between the two. I'm not sure i would ever really use the shower setting on either one. What all are you using the shower (drench) setting for?
@CarsWithKeav8 ай бұрын
Pressure on the Eley Cleaner nozzle is much more than the Orbit on V sweep. The V sweep has a much bigger fan so you can rinse an area quicker just won’t clean as good. The V sweep I think is about 4 gpm.

@Enthusiast_detailing8 ай бұрын
@@CarsWithKeav I’ve always thought that foam was just extra lubrication and for fun. During summer I tend to foam down the entire car wash 1 side re foam and do the other side. Texas gets hot so the foam helps it not dry and gives me more time since I don’t got a garage and minimal shade

@CarsWithKeav5 ай бұрын
Not sure on PSI, but around 150 or so I think. It does about 4 to 5 gpm. I have a meter I use, but you can also just use the bucket and fill for exactly one minute weight the water and co Bert the gallons to pounds. That will get you GPM. You could use an inline meter to measure PSI I just don’t have one for garden hose and pressure is usually never a measure I look at it’s all about rinsing flow for me.
@twoshoe108 ай бұрын
what do you think about using the mtm garden hose qcs instead of the Eley ones with the Eley nozzle? any big difference? i know there is a nominal diameter difference but seems unlikely to make a big difference in overall flow compared to the whole system

Would not make any difference unless you are looking to flow more than 14gpm. MTM diameter is probably good for up to that.
@MrDtosie8 ай бұрын
I've had the Eley quick connects and sprayers for some time now and it has been a game changer for me. I would say that the fan nozzle tip is pretty close in comparison to a low powered pressure washer but, I really just wish there were better options for getting thick foam close to a pressure washer. Foam guns just don't really cut it and seem to run off the car way too quick. Eley nozzle and premium foam gun suds would be my go to because i wouldn't have to deal with getting out the pressure washer, plugging it into a power source , priming the hose and unit, and putting it all away when done. There are just simply more premium options in the pressure washing industry. Until a premium garden hose foam gun that can create thick shaving cream foam comes out i will continue using my pressure washer.
@CarsWithKeav8 ай бұрын
Could not have said it better. The Gilmour is the best you can get for foam, but like you said it has no dwell time just comes off the surface too fast and runny. Just not enough pressure to agitate the suds enough, but I bet somebody could figure it out just seems nobody wants to. Maybe one day it will happen.

I think the orbit with the setting you first had it is better no need for the other settings to wash the car with.... also I dislike the Gilmore foamer.... it shoots out to much water not enough thick foam it looks to watery because you need to leave the soap foam on for atleast 5 minutes but by that time with that foamer it's already vanished because it diluted the foam soap to much.
@CarsWithKeav4 ай бұрын
The Gilmore foamer will only do so good as with any garden hose foamer. There is not enough pressure to create foam cannon foam. I have tried them all and this one gives the most foam of any garden hose foamer. You could get more by adding more soap. This Gilmore does 12oz per gallon of soap dilution almost all others don’t go more than 6oz. It’s not great foam, but you can’t compare this to a foam cannon or say an IK Foam Pro 12 sprayer which without a pressure washer is the best foam you can get at least from my experience.
