I didn't actually know what it looked like from the outside of the moon landing. Makes sense why they could burn so long, acceleration due to gravity is way less!!! thats why it was hard to control attitude and such as well. Very informative. Im gonna buy this game and space shuttle sim can't wait to try it myself!

Nice, but at the end (around 3:21:40), near Moon's surface, relief seemed too much exaggerated, should be smoother.

Great video, but as far as I can tell, you're not running P52 correctly. You're trying to replace the checklist code with a star number in V50N25. The star code for the star you used is input in V01N71 NOT in V50N25. (You're inputing it one screen too early.) This is why your alignments aren't proceding the way you're expecting. Thankfully, you're not horribly misaligned to begin with, so the results are ok, but definitely review the P52 checklist carefully.

I believe the first number it gives you is a suggested star to find in the viewfinder, then after that a confirmation of it and if you used a different one you can change it there. I was also under the impression that when 51 is flashing that's when to mark the star. after this is done it displays the suggested star number assuming you used the suggestion, but if you choose a different one you can change it at this time (while verb 50 noun 25 is displayed, Verb 50 being the action or operation; in this case, align procedure, and noun 25 being the specific target or data input; in this case which star) after marking. If you want and there's a better way to communicate and you want to let me know. Not a lot of people know the computer language Apollo computers used that I know. I believe Verb 01 Noun 70 was used to set the initial platform alignment angle so you could move the ship so it was facing the expected stars. Since this is just a sim and gimbal limits were not yet programed in for the gyros my need to mind how I rotate the ship is moot so I just picked whatever was in the viewfinder. Plus unlike the real astronaughts I have the luxury of the stars telling me their number when I highlight them, I don't have to deduce this. Putting a star number your trying to mark for alignment in the register you suggest wouldn't work since that reg is not for that. In the end what I did, did reallign the system since after alignment it shows my accuracy of my marks to the expected angles between the stars is within 3/100ths of a degree (Verb 6 Noun 05 (XXX.XX Deg)) Which is all the system is looking for to reference in order to align. Verb 6 Noun 93 shows the amount the gyros physically corrected in degrees (XX.XXX Deg) for x, y, and z angles respectively

In the landing phase is the descent engine supposed to cycle from 10 to 55 % like that? I just completed the landing tutorial, and it still operates this way. I always thought the descent rate clicker would decrease or increase the rate by small increments, not these huge amounts. Seems an odd way to land a spacecraft.

Im not sure about how fast the real valves in the actual spacecraft would operate but I wouldn't be shocked to find that they were indeed that quick because doing it slowly would vastly complicate any calculations, and back then the computer just wasn't capable of a whole lot of that to accuracy that might have been acceptable. Heck even humans would have great difficulty if there was any questions about the actual rate of change...I would assume the shock from such a change wouldn't be to violent. they did not pull allot of G with that motor

how can you move the view with the mouse?

I have 5 hotkeys on my mouse setup to move me to different positions when I press them (commander seat, navigator seat, etc). then once there it's just click and drag to rotate the view. You can set that up in settings. Even if you don't have a mouse with extra buttons on it you can use your keyboard and I think the views default to the function keys
