Been binge watching the Home Edit vids for a while now. Their techniques are very interesting. I know some people had a strong reaction about the basement situation. But there’s nothing wrong with setting the boundaries with clients. They were fixing the closet, not the basement. And I think they mean well when they give constructive feedback to their clients. Otherwise, the clients would have had reacted differently. Sending love to the THE team 💕

Well, I really liked the home edit as a brand and loved what they do, its just a shame that lady Clea is so obnoxious, its hard to watch. The negative comments about the clients home, totally inappropriate! Kind of made me regret buying their book and funding their business when the face of the brand is so unlikable! Shame.

Reading the comments, I think the problem might be not so much Clea's character but the way the series was produced. In every episode there's obviously a build up from point: 'oh no, this house is a mess, are we able to make it?' to point 'there were obstacles on our way (i.e. a lot of stuff, small space, scary basement) but we made it'. I feel Clea's character on the show might have been 'framed' in favor of having a coherent narrative.
@lakey87995 жыл бұрын
The comments about sneezing that she mentioned are not true. I am not sure where she gets that from but sneezing is to expel mucus containing irritants from the nasal cavity. A sneeze, or sternutation, is a semi-autonomous, convulsive expulsion of air from the lungs through the nose and mouth, usually caused by foreign particles irritating the nasal mucosa.

I watched their whole show on Netflix and I’ve heard of them. I follow them on Instagram but I don’t like Clea. I think she’s really mean about people’s homes. People work their whole life for a home. Her husband is a very popular photographer in Nashville and I’m sure that’s how they had the money to start this business. It’s a great business and I love it but being mean about people’s homes is not nice. And their reviews on Glassdoor about working for them are really bad....

I’ve read every comment. I enjoyed the show, it is what it is! Clea is creating a character for entertainment and if she was like that for real Joanna and Summer wouldn’t work or be friends with her. if you don’t like it don’t watch and i am sure the couple are grateful that they have hundreds of $ worth of storage. You can come and be rude about my house if you want !
@AfrikanReine924 жыл бұрын
Without a doubt, they are skillful at what they do, but sometimes it’s her comments and judgment that can make people feel insecure and shameful about their clutter or homes. She seems judgmental, and I would feel like she judges me when she comes to my house. There’s where the professionalism is critical, she cannot be so condescending, and she’s too boogie to clean people's homes; even how she treats her co-workers, I would feel so annoyed and uncomfortable working with someone like that.

What if you drip dry??!! That’s slot of humidity in the air!! I do know that per my design class... they put w/d near other water pipes to minimize costs. Sonnet their bathroom is in the other side of the w/ d wall. I’d put dehumidifier granules & deodorizer sin that closer! My sister did that in her closet to keep the smelly shoe issues at bay!! Also the natural humidity of the shoes you wore all day.. she started leaving them out to dry... THEN putting away in the closet. Trial & error!
