Boy .. this mom's attitude explains why they are not together, why the counselor passed on the reunification counseling and why dad should ALWAYS have a lawyer like the one he has. She is the aggressor. I cant imagine she would be cooperative in ANY circumstance. How long ago was he such a horrible person that she wants to hang on forever to any incident that she cannot even prove.

Mom is so melodramatic that she starts losing credibility. She's so hell bent on crucifying dad, rather than seeing any positive steps he's taken in order to be an active parent. He's always going to be the father. So, she needs to get used to some interaction.

For mom, it's solely about step mom. She just wants a chance to go through step mom's life with a fine tooth comb while she's under oath. She doesn't care one bit about what's best for the children. She only wants to spite dad and his new girl out of pure bitterness. You can tell just by mom's tone when responding to dad's attorney that she is as mad as can be.

Mom sounds like she has a screw loose. She sounds more manipulative. If the Counselor says dad is doing ok, but she knows better. She is just bitter and angry dad was out of her daughters life for 6 years. The term that person in reference to dad is sad. Oh, love dad's new wife❤. Mom is beyond irritating in her nasty responses. This is probably what is irritating mom. So much help to new wife but disappeared from her daughters life. Moms Attorney is a real jerk! Good grief questioning to say negatives about what he says in counseling. He is looking for current wife into dad accepting responsibility and why they are in court.He is crazy!!!None of that Attorneys business what new wife knows. 😡Moms Attorney is a real pain! The guy is darned lucky to have his new wife. She is professional, calm and well spoken. He is trying to compare past experiences with new wife to what Caspar's out Jonelle and their daughter through. Darn do not get to see what happens next.

3:50 😂😂😂 Referee's expression says it all here. This mom's entire issue seems to be that professionals didn't say what she wanted them to say...I foresee her having issues with her attorney not getting her what she wants in the near future. Her whole "he needs to take responsibility" argument is one of the most ridiculous arguments I have ever heard. As dad's attorney and yourself pointed out, the only thing she will find sufficient is if he publicly states that everything she accused him of is true. And even then, she'd probably demand that he whip himself in public while apologizing and begging for her forgiveness. She's one of the worst litigants I've seen. I'm truly concerned that she is 'brainwashing' and mentally abusing her children and have concerns about her being PCP. You said exactly what I was thinking regarding mom's testimony about their daughter knowing how she feels about dad. She says "she's a very smart girl" and immediately follows it up with essentially "she's not smart enough to understand how I feel about him." Though I wouldn't say she doesn't give her daughter much credit. I would say she has a sliding scale for how much credit she gives her daughter, or anyone for that matter, depending on whether it works in her favor or not. She is wildly inconsistent in this regard. And her inability to give straight forward answers, as well as her habit of repeating the questions she is asked, make me highly doubt her truthfulness. It seems like her and her attorney's main goal is to get him to admit to abuse. Can we get a count of how many times they mention him "taking responsibility for his abuse"? Is there a previous finding of abuse or something? They repeat that he is abusive, ad nauseum, but I didn't hear any proof or any reference to charges, convictions, or previous findings. The closest thing I heard is that there is a PPO, but I didn't hear anything about the basis for that order. It sounds like it was based on verbal abuse, but that could mean anything, and I'm pretty sure that never rises to the level of criminal action. It appears that the verbal abuse was essentially toxic arguments.

Mom's attorney was asking Ms Kartupelis so many irrelevant and pointless questions. I don't know where he was trying to go with them at least half of the time. I don't think he knew either as he kinda just jumped around to a different line of questioning about a completely unrelated topic. "Did you talk to anyone about testifying prior to today?" Doesn't matter at all and there is nothing saying she couldn't... Have you ever had guns in your home? Who cares? She has no criminal record as far as we can tell, she's not a felon and there is no mention of any order preventing her from possessing firearms. She's allowed to if she wants and her ex was a police officer and currently is a detective. Of course, he had at least one gun in their home at some point. But none of that matters whatsoever since she lives in the US. Like he asked about meeting their daughters, but I don't think he asked anything about it to make his point, besides that she doesn't have first hand knowledge about his relationship with them. Of course she doesn't, your client has refused to let him spend time with their children, in turn, preventing anyone else from observing their relationship. And he asks about whether or not she's seen any of their communication on the parenting app and if she's helped him respond, but what does that matter? Where is he trying to go with that?

@seanwexler8051
@seanwexler8051 Ай бұрын
@@karendkn1960not getting the answer he wants is not the same as her not answering his question. But that has nothing to do with my comment that he is asking irrelevent, pointless questions. I didn't say that he is repeating himself, but he is. If he has to use variations of his question to get the information he is looking for, he needs to better prepare his questions to ask what he intends to ask. "Did you talk to anyone about you testifying today?" is extremely vague and can be understood as "did you talk about it today?" or "did you talk about today's testimony?" It also could mean "did you tell anyone that you were going to testify?" or "did you discuss what your testimony will be?" It's also completely irrelevent. It's very common for attorneys to prepare their clients and witnesses for testimony.

The only thing this mother wants is the father out of her daughter's life. She's upset with the therapist's results, the person who is involved in the exchange of her daughter. She doesn't care a wit about her daughter. This past behavior of his in my opinion is partly a result of how manipulative and controlling the mom is. I find it hard to believe the father is as awful as she says. If I had to listen to the mom say those things about me, my head would have exploded😊😊.😊

Maybe the guy changed his life for his new wife. But every guy wants to be who they want with different ppl. Sounds like he met the new wife when he separated from the old wife and he chose to change or maybe he has been abusive towards the new wife. No one knows behind closed doors. And to top it off just chance she has a good background in education doesn’t mean they don’t go through abuse themselves with their spouse. I would rather be punched in the face than go through emotional abuse or anything verbal abuse. It’s hard to recover from. At least the bruises go away. 😢.

Mom is not wrong for asking why the Father was present when a PPO is in effect. Someone paying attention to the details is not wrong. Attorneys do it all the time, then turn around and flip it saying that same thing is meaningless. I’ve witnessed several attorneys do this on different cases. It’s laughable - but it’s not drama on the parties, it’s drama created by attorneys in some cases. Ok, back to the ‘show’

@@KAP1984 She is the one who voluntarily brought up her history of abuse as a credential/experience of why her judgment about dv dad was worth anything. New mom also said dv dad has not abused new mom, so he must not have abused his ex-wife - which is about as logical as me saying that bc Mr. McGlugGlug didn't cross a center lane, hit me head on, and kill me personally, so I don't believe he could have done that to someone else. New mom has not met or spoken with anyone but dv dad. If the dad wanted a better character witness, he could have called his therapist and/or the reconciliation counselor. Dv dad has a restraining order against him in Latvia from a different woman.

@@KAP1984 Mom's attorney did not come off that way to me at all. I think maybe it is just the topic and that she offerred he past traumatic experiences as part of her expertise. It's not like he was asking, "what were you wearing" but more of, "what were red flags you now know you missed?" Or rather, "Do you admit to having blindspots?" (Because if you cannot admit that you have any bias or any blindspot that is alarming because no one is perfect.) Dad's attorney seemed like the more aggressive tone and antagonistic, asking compound and leading questions that combined, "Didn't you say "x" AND it meant this nasty thing." 🤔 Like if I said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a horse." On the stand dv dad's attorney would say, "Didn't you just admit to eating horses!?" After a bit of that, I would get very exasperated dealing with them and have a visible dislike over petty attitude. It sounded like it took court order to force dv dad to actually start and do the counseling that the daughter was done. Preteen girls are not just idiots that do whatever one parent tells them. I bet she really wanted to go on spring break with her bff's family more than anything else in the world. She would have been traumatized by having to sit it out incase she got ordered to go several state's away to visit dad. Obviously he us the one who moved away so why didn't he come back to visit? Parents not accommodating their kids peer social needs - not wants or preferences but legitimate and real need - to fit in with their friend groups and attend parties and other events with friends really damage their kids from forming long lasting relationships. Asking the girl to see step mom as a safety resource when not only have they never met, not even virtually, but never spoken or even texted is just short sighted and appalling. It turns the child into an object he is fighting to access and controll like she is a lease vehicle. People do more to make certain their pets are better cared for and less upset by changes than that.

That is not what I'm referring to, especially since physical was never proven, only verbal and mental. Which can be something as calling names. It was the way he Condescendantly spoke to her. Ie when he asked if she worked while she was attending. School had a child already and was pregnant with twins.. people grow, people learn. A very wise and mature view she may have is not to judge by past mistakes of others, but to judge them on the merit of how they treat you. It is totally reasonable to realize people grow with lessons in life if they choose. Clearly, these are 2 different women he has to interact with. I respect your opinion and thank you for writing a reply. I'm a big believer in words, tonenation, and meanings behind how and why certain words are chosen.

Because if he didnt abuse her he shouldn't be required to accept responsibility for things he didnt do 😂 ive been in a toxic relationship and i know how buttons get pushed and things are said that are inappropriate and maybe even abusive but this whole thing could be mom making things up. Or dad is, in fact, an abusive person. I dont know what to make of the abuse whether its been committed or not.
