Thank you very much for the information. I have a few questions, are references from home country taken into consideration and also is there a standard online questionnaire where home country consultants can give their references? Thank you in advance

Are this referees formsfrom NSW filled after been shortlisted? , coz , when i apply for those jobs there is no docs or forms to download and send to the referees , or a special link to be sent to them. Thanks.

Thank you for the info Dr ,but a question ,they say that you need a reference from Australia to get jobs after Amc 1 or Amc 2 ,but I am thinking as an IMG that I have never come to Australia,as you said will the reference from our home country be just as enough ? Thank you

thanks Dr. If we apply for multiple jobs across various Australian states, will our referees get multiple emails each time?

You can apply as a GP in Australia through multiple pathways, and your chances are very subjective. I recommend you utilize this link for more insight: www.emergencyfocus.net/event-details/gp-careers-documentation-and-job-guidance

Hello, I was watching one of your videos on migrating to Australia from UK and I had a couple of questions. 1. If I finish my specialist program in the UK for GENERAL SURGERY (fellowship exams), what’s the process to migrating to Australia and how hard is it? 2. I didn’t understand the 10 year moratorium. You mentioned it would take at most 9 months and then you can apply for general registration but then you also mentioned the 10 year moratorium. Which applies and in what situation? 3. Do you think it’s better to do the foundation programs in the UK and then move to Australia to further train or it’s better to become a consultant in the UK and then move straight for a job?

1. Finishing off General Surgery in the UK should be the aim not a secondary migration to Australia at this stage. Keeping it simple, life changes and who knows by the time you finish Surgery training in the UK which is a feat in itself in the UK too, your priorities and view about migration to Australia might change 2. Moratorium is for 10 years but can be complete in any hospital for hospital doctors as it counts from first day of registration. It's often the GP trainees who are more affected by this rule. google the fine details 3. As long as you stay in UK better chances of job in Australia (Somehow that's how it works)

@@EmergencyFocus Thank you so much. So finely put!!! For the third question, you meant the longer you stay in the UK, the better your job chances? I love what you said about question 1. Thank you sooooo much
