Ben, please bring back the "all 9 hole walk-through". Having you explain the different routes for each level of play was a very important tool for me and I know many others!!

I’m hoping to bring those back soon Chris, at the moment I’ve started back to work full time - and the schedules are very busy during the rehearsal period. Once things settle down, I should be able to produce the general walkthroughs again. 😀

@@BKGolfClash That would be great. Look forward to it. Be sure to post some music videos too. I'd like to see that. Thanks and good luck!!!!

Sorry if I’ve missed it, could you do a guide to gauging the gradations of spin. I think my idea of .5 spin is miles off. When you play 5.8 spin on an Apoc it looks like .95 to me. Hope this makes sense. Great series of tutorials.

Ben, very informative but how do you determine the slider % based off of those yardage reference points?
@anthonypunch14383 жыл бұрын
Trinidad and Tobago WI. My ball has been on the left side of the adjustment ring on most replays thanks for your academy video on that issue. When you swing you keep your eyes on the ball ( if the shot is lined up all you need to do is concentrate on centering the ball and hitting perfect)

Where do you get the charts that show the + yardage and its corresponding slider percentage?
@Saintsfanalways3 жыл бұрын
I understand the + yardage is the extra power you get from the extra power from your ball selection, but how do you determine your slider percentage based off of that? Is there some kind of chart floating out there for that?
@BKGolfClash3 жыл бұрын
If you are playing true club distance, as in the slider value representing where you are in club range, it’s 2.5% per yard from Max with a wood club, and 2% slider per yard with Long and Short irons as a general rule. So, as an example with Sniper Lvl 10 and P3 ball, setting up at +8 would be a true club slider value of 90%, as Max is +12 yds with that club and P3 ball. :)

what does the plus yardage refer to?
@nickgillard30633 жыл бұрын
It takes a little while to get comfortable with this approach but it is so worth it. One drop extra can mean the difference between up to 15-20 places .. very well explained Ben and thank you

Good video Be. One question I have had on my mind recently is what are the + Yardages? Particularly what are they the plus of? What does Zero then equal? Is it the club distance when the club is Level 1?
@BKGolfClash3 жыл бұрын
So; the plus yardages kick in when you use balls with more than Power 0. For instance, Sniper 10 has 172 yards of Power - so with a Basic Ball or a Marlin, having the target at Max distance will be 172 yards from the ball. If you use a ball with Power 1+, then the plus yardage is the extra distance you get with that power ball.

Are you counting rings from the plus check point to the intended landing spot to determine club percentage?
@keithanderson74053 жыл бұрын
Love watching these. Very educational for the game. 👍
@AeolianReflex2 жыл бұрын
I think I get the concept of pin & fringe checks but I feel lost not knowing what +3 yards at the fringe means in terms of slider percentage of my club when my intended landing spot is say, 17 rings from the fringe check spot. I assume that by knowing if +3 yards equals 87% slider, then counting rings from that spot to my intended landing spot will give me an accurate club percentage. Does that make sense?

How do use max over power& have a slow needle?,
@emilyboneface71582 жыл бұрын
If you are at max club distance you'll have a shaky needle...the further back from max distance you are the slower the needle.

what is plus yardage referring 2?
@scottc51713 жыл бұрын
He is referring to the yardage numbers that appear next to the target when you get close to max distance of your club. At one point in the video, he pushes the target to the back fringe and +5 appears next to the target. The plus yardage number is the amount of yards that your target is beyond the point that would be max with a power 0 ball. Hopefully this explanation makes sense.

I've been playing this for 2 yrs and I still cant understand the fringe or pin checks. How does +5yds at a random fringe spot immediately give you slider %? Or do you have to figure it out after you have the fringe plus yds? ...I do understand slider and the notebook app well, I've won expert tourneys and play masters on my main acct...still can not grasp this concept. What am I missing?
@BKGolfClash2 жыл бұрын
It’s all based on trial and error - there’s no rule that a certain yardage gives you slider values at a certain point without trying it first. When dialling in, we go on an educated guess first of all - and then tweak from there based on how much we miss by. Or - if lucky, then build the slider table from that value if we drop it! 😀
@jeffw1826 Жыл бұрын
I'm either over-thinking this or under-thinking this because I understood 0% of it. The crazy thing is, I play in Masters every single tournament and have consistently place in the middle of the pack. This is with zero understanding. I will never improvre without some deeper knowledge. The problem for me is, I wont join a patreon or pay for tournament guides If I do not understand any of it. Even if I understood a pin checkI'm going to assume that you do not have several differen't videos teaching/explaining pin checks. Now here I am not being able to move forward because this one video has me completely handicapped. I cant't join patreon because I have no idea how that even ties into all of the other things required in the setup. There is no "seamless understang" to be had. Assume that I have an Iq of 50, then explain. I'm aware that this video is few years and you likely wont see it. I'm leaving it here in hopes that a follower comes across this and will take the time to explain it to me. I enjoy the content, and understand most of it, but that ship has sailed on this lesson.
