are counterfeit cartridges refilled the same way? i have taken apart one of my 951 cartridge and compared to an original one on youtube and they are not the same. the counterfeit cartridge does not have any ball valve in the refill hole, no spring. it looks like the underpressure is holding the ink inside because the hole is an open hole on counterfeit cartridge. so i dont know if they are refilled the same way or not, do you have experience? i would appreciate some help. thank you

Hello Zsolti, our tutorials are aiming on original cartridges as the viarity of the alternative cartridges is really huge - we cannot judge the technical solution on Your alternative cartridge from the distance. From our experience we know that main issue of the alternative cartridges is the ink chip - most alternative ink chips do not support the functionality to be used for more than one printing cycle. That means You can fill in new ink but the printer is not going to start a print job with such a chip on the cartridge. That You have to test for Your cartridges too.

@@octopusoffice thank you for the answer. By the way, often i am wondering when i see refilling videos- does the ink go into the ink bag inside the cartridge or it goes into the plastic case only but outside the ink bag (there is a foil ink bag inside)?

Hello Zsolti, thank You very much for Your positive response and Your question. On the original cartridges the foil bags, located inside the cartridge / inside the ink chamber, are connected to openings that lead to the outside of the cartridge. When filling ink into the cartridge into the ink chamber this ink does not go inside these bags. The bags have no opening towards the ink storing chamber. The printer uses these bags to determine how much ink is left iside the cartridge. To do so the printer uses a pump and pushes air into the channel leading into the foil bag. From the amount of air that goes into the bag and the pressure the printer can calculate the remaining ink amount.
