Why do you make so much fuss about home cooked meals? It's the easiest thing to do. The only thing that's tiresome it's the washing afterwards.

I always make a pot of beans to last the whole week, I also batch cook steel cut oats so I can mix-n-match toppings throughout the week (I use an instant pot for both which makes it WAY easier). I keep zucchini on deck for quick & easy noodles, and a head of red cabbage to add color to a dish or for a quick & crunchy salad. Thanks for the recipes Lucie I’ll definitely be trying all of them!! 😊

@@melanieemertaylor even when I was in uni from 9-6 every day, had a 45min commute home, and worked 4 nights a week, I still managed to cook every day. It only takes 15 mins to cook a bean chilli, or a pasta dish/noodle stir fry/veggie curry, or to stick something in the oven an leave it for a bit, etc. It's quicker than waiting for a takeaway.

As a professional meal prep chef (personal chef), I think you're doing a fantastic job! I like my pancakes fresh, so make numerous batches of the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, etc.), then pour into mason jars like pancake mix. When I'm ready, I just add almond milk, mashed banana and vanilla.

I love you. You have a Smeg toaster and a crank can opener. I finally had to give in to my Grammaness last year, and went for the electric can opener. The kind that holds the can once it’s open and does the clean cut. So worth it.

Hey Lucie! A tip to peel the butternut squash that is a bit safer and less time consuming - peel it before you cut it, I peel the the top or bottom half then wrap a paper towel around the peeled part (because it is slippery!) and then peel the other half and hold onto the paper towel! Then chop it up!

Brianda G sort of. It’s something people used to do a long time ago. Basically, you sleep for three ish hours and then wake up for an hour or two and then fall back asleep. Those two hours you are awake are said to be when you’re most productive. I’ve tried it a few times and I think it’s really effective.

Use a large chef knife and use your weight in your upper body as you cut. Start by cutting the ends off. Then cut where it goes in before the bulb type part. Peel it all with a peeler, then dice and scoop the seeds out. You can roast the seeds just like pumpkin seeds.
