I’m 41 years old, and I seen him going into the first interstate bank during a bomb scare that was all over the news, dangerous situations where he was treated for smoke inhalation, he was shot at in his rig for 72 hours during the riots in 92. And after all of this, he spent his twilight years and end of tenure in pacific palisades at 69s. Welcome to the fold, maam. Never stop showing up. 💯

@@gtrdxz I'd think that they'd train for those kind of situations, and even more so for those who may find it initially difficult. I tell my daughter to work twice as hard at somthing she's not good at and I'd hate for her to think, because she is a woman, that she isnt enough for somthing. I'm just saying, your right that females have a physical disadvantage, but there's a reason this lady is a firefighter; for her training and courage she is fit for the job. Stay positive partner, I'm sure they hired her because she is capable.

As someone who works in a fire department, women and men firefighters are both trained to the same level of physical capability and perform under the same levels of stress and adrenaline. IF you truly want it AND can handle the physicality of it, keep training hard and get strong. Some people test for up to 10 years before getting hired, 12 months is just a speed bump. Most important, you want to be hired because you are highly qualified, not because you are female.

She passed the physical aptitude test to become a firefighter. Thankfully a 6'4" male firefighter entered the room and carried him out in 15 seconds. We have to accept reality. Lives are literally at stake. Reality is not sexist, nor is it bigotry. Any differences between the sexes should be acknowledged, celebrated and applied in the most logical manner. Women make great medics. But firefighters? Let's be real.

Why are we not hiring the best candidates for the job? Inclusion should not be considered when lives are at stake. We also see this inclusion madness happening in police departments. I have watched hundreds of body camera recordings. The women just can't cut it. Physical aptitude standards have been lowered for police and fire. Imagine you are 6'7" and weigh 220lbs like myself. You are almost passed out in your home due to smoke inhalation. You look up and see that your savior is a 5'4" tall woman firefighter. Will she be capable of pickup you up or even dragging you out? A man almost died in a similar scenario. Imagine making your life and the lives of your family more dangerous in order to satisfy DEI protocols and woke Progressives.

A man almost died because a 5'4" 130lb woman firefighter couldn't move him more than a few feet. Then came along a 6'4" male firefighter and carried him out in seconds. Reality is not sexism, nor is reality racism or any other Ism or Phobia. Inclusion shouldn't be a consideration when lives are at stake. Imagine if that man had been your son. Watched a few LAFD female fire fighting cadets training as I waited at a red light by the station headed from dtla to gardena driving local. These little women could barely handle a ladder much less rescue a person in a physically demanding situation. No discrimination here, just physics.

A man almost died because a woman firefighter couldn't move him more than three feet. Then came along a 6'4" tall male firefighter and carried him out in 15 seconds. Male firefighters must secretly resent their female colleagues. They could die and never see their families again because "Becky" from the city was told by Hollywood and the music industry that she was no different than men. We also see this inclusion madness happening in police departments. Sadly I believe that it's too late for the West to regain its sanity. Telling the truth has been sexist for some time now. That word has the same psychological effect as calling someone racist or transphobic. An accusation of that nature could result in employment dismissal. So we're forced to sit here and let women play as cops and firefighters in order to protect our livelihoods.

Students are taught how to operate the levers and pullies of the systems which are owned and controlled by the one percenters. What is a medical student other than a big pharmaceutical pusher? What is a history student other than someone who was told by his professor to believe a certain historical narrative or he wouldn't graduate? My parents offered to pay for a full ride at college. Considering the cost of education, that was an extremely generous offer, but I had to decline. I had seen what the education system did to the minds of students and graduates. Group dynamic behavior and peer pressure keeps everyone in line with the establishment. There's a reason why most students and graduates are leftwing. There's a reason why most of them cannot debate to save their lives. Taught what to think, instead of how to think. There's a video on KZbin of a professor deprogramming his students about the reality of BLM. It was painful to see so much cognitive dissonance. The title of that video is "Statistics on Cop on Black Crime". I doubt the students spoke much about it after class. Most of them are liberals and have to believe the original BLM narrative. How's a young male college student going to get a girlfriend if the ladies think he's a "racist" conservative?

Many career departments require at least EMT-B. A few will hire you with your EMR, provided you then enroll in classes to get your EMT-B. Paramedic is preferred, and comes with a larger salary from the start... that being said, enjoy patient care.

I don't think she needs to tell everyone she's a female firefighter. Women started becoming firefighters back in the 80s. The FD I was part of had over a dozen women firefighters in our three stations.

lol I agree. It was a little odd she said “I became a female firefighter…” I thought she meant she transitioned at some point so I was confused 😂😂 And the reason that women are underepresented is because they don’t ‘choose’ these careers and they don’t generally meet the requirements as easy as men do.

I’d still would prefer a male firefighter if my house was burning down. But sure, she’ll be better than nothing. I guess it’s still nice etc.. a calming addition. But she won’t be as good as a male when it comes brut strength.

Yeah, either job can end your life on any call, but LEOs are 100X more likely to die from Gunfire, stabbing, or traffic accidents on a weekly basis nationwide. The physical and emotional stress is about equal, but firefighters have the cancer ( and other diseases) to deal with from hazmat exposure over a full career. LEOs have cancer and physiological disease from stress, and they both suffer equally from PTSD and suicide. It all comes with a price✌🏻
