“adamant about eye contact” People with Autism, Social Anxiety or PTSD or even ADHD etc… either can’t or really struggle with making eye contact. We aren’t being rude or disrespectful, maybe keep this in mind for next time you’re looking someone in the eye and they are looking anywhere but.

I’ve gotten box braids and didn’t leave until the shop was about to close and the street lights were on… The stylist takes breaks to eat sit rest their hands hydrate . If there is someone else who can step in for a round they do . If not they return after the break … I prefer no one else do it but my stylist so I pack my laptop for the day

I remember in the '80s when I was a teenager late '80s early '90s sitting 15, 18 hours for braids a lot more thinner. It's fun and the wait time is very long but the results be beautiful for a moment.

😂The Struggle… I usually do larger braids, because I don’t want to spend that much time braiding my hair, and sometimes when I do them this small I end up not finishing the middle and just wearing the outer braids in a bun. 😬 Also, there’s so much “human hair” in the market that is less expensive and just mimics human hair- it doesn’t actually come off another person’s head.

Hairstylists have to learn the assembly like style of doing things. Do all the sectioning, then all the pre twists, then install all the braids. This will cut the time down a lot.

Yes they do ,but you can keep them looking fresh longer by sleeping with a satin scarf and using a good gel on the feed ins
