Hey I'm just starting my furniture flipping journey and I am also trying to just do wood pieces and what I constantly run into are dressers with drawer problems almost 90% of the time whether it's broken tracks or they are just too loose or tight. I avoid these a lot of the times. Could you do a vid or segment on what you do with these problems? Or do you avoid these also?

XI like the wash idea with the stain do you have to use an oil base stain to get the same look or would’ve water-based stain work thank you

What kind of spray tip are you using? You have way too much over spray I’d suggest a FFLP 210 or 310 fine finish spray tip or invest in a hvlp gravity gun
@ThatShabbyGuy2 жыл бұрын
313 tip. Anything smaller in diameter causes water based poly to spit. Smaller fan size just means I have to make more passes. The Magnum series has always had a lot of overspray. The Graco TrueCoat too.
@davemeleca2 жыл бұрын
How do you clean the sprayer and dispose of your waste? I've got the same one and was running half a container of mineral spirits through it after using anything oil based, but then always have that same amount of waste that needs to be dealt with.
@ThatShabbyGuy2 жыл бұрын
I only use water based products in my Graco for this very reason. All I have to dispose of is paint water. Whatever I clean from the machine goes into an empty paint bucket. I'll reuse those full buckets for awhile as stands to set my furniture on while working. When I need to get rid of them, my county has a place that household chemicals/paints can be taken to as long as you are a resident of the county. With mineral spirits, I think the best way is to recycle them by letting them sit. You can pour off the clear spirits and reuse them and only have to dispose of the stuff at the bottom. Might check into that.
@davemeleca2 жыл бұрын
@@ThatShabbyGuy Awesome, thank you. I'm not sure why the simple solution of using only water based products never crossed my mind.
@ThatShabbyGuy2 жыл бұрын
Honestly they're easier to clean up. Dry faster. Tend to be less toxic. And are comparable in durabilty. Might have to make the switch! Good luck!
@LisaLynnTx Жыл бұрын
I've been doing this for about 11 years now. I use chalk paint on most of my projects. Do you ever go to the Round Top Antique Show?
