Welcome to another update from Elixir's voyage around the world!
I took a four month break from sailing during the Hurricane season in Mexico, and went home to the UK to see friends and family.
Afterwards, I returned to Mexico and it was straight into full on boatyard mode. We cleaned EVERYTHING, replaced a lot of engine parts, swapped out the cutlass bearing and so much more!
It was a lot of work beneath the hot Mexican sun, but it felt amazing to have Elixir back on the water. After our spell in the boatyard, we crossed the dangerous Gulf of Tehuantepec, and sailed to the states of Oaxaca and Guerrero.

Mexico is a wonderful place.. if you believe everything the news media and governments officials say about the place you won't ever want to go there except to the tourist places.. Truth is Mexico is a very free country and one that still has its morality in check. A place where family, friends and even strangers who are to become friends are very important..

You should add a little antiseeze where the prop sits on the shaft.. it will make it much easier next time you remove it

If you get up to Santa Barbara California make sure you stop by the maritime museum.. it's killer.. sailing vessel mig channel on KZbin stopped there recently and showed how awesome it is but nothing compares to being there in person

I've watched other channels that fish while sailing and when they have fish on they drop sails to slow the boat and make it easier to get the catch on board
