Refitting the LT230 transfer box into my defender 110

The day has come to refit the LT230 transfer box back into my defender110. This was the original plan but then I found other issues which needed to be fixed along the way.

Pretty sure that as long as the transfer box has a new input shaft seal, you shouldn't need to put a liquid gasket between the gearbox and lt230. (Just makes it really hard to separate again when it next needs doing). Previous place that did mine used sealant and caused me a real headache separating them again. The oil from the transfer box will almost certainly leak from the intermediate shaft, which is not enclosed by those mating surfaces anyway. Well done for getting it back together 👍

Thanks for the feed back. I’m not 100% sure on what im doing! All I do is try and put things back as I found them after replacing with new parts. Hopefully it will work when it’s all back together. Holidays and family life has slowed progress recently but I will be back to it soon I hope.
