Reflecting on Don Carson's Ministry

From South Africa, the highlight of my life was when we attended Don's presentation in JHB and had an opportunity to meet with him and express our gratitude for his work, took a photo with him which we treasured so much. His life speaks so loud, it is possible to live a life fitting your calling, thanks so much.

There was a time I heard a lot about expository preaching. People could speak a lot about it in glowing terms but I couldn't find someone who could do it. Then I came across Dr Don Carson, wow I was so liberated - finally I saw someone who could do it. That shaped my ministry - his ministry also encouraged me to do Biblical languages. Years ago I learnt them and have been reading the Bible in them for years now. What a ministry - may the Lord heal him and strengthen Him.

Praise God for Don Carson. I’m so thankful for the impact his writings have had on my life and the lives of others. The statement, “I’m not suffering from anything that a good, general resurrection can’t fix,” is a wonderful, praise-worthy encouragement and correction to those of us mourning.
