One of my favorite aspects of MR. Allan’s work is that the beauty is not overworked. He doesn’t detract from his vision with too much detail. I love the balance. Thank you.

This is fantastic, Tony. So glad I found you. I am still learning pastels. This gives me an insight into what is possible.

Tony, What type of pastels are you using? They almost look like diane townsend terrages or maybe the pebbles from sennelier but they seem to be softer than sennelier. I just noticed that both the light purple and the earth brown you were using were large pastels of a somewhat odd shape. Any info would help a young pastelist looking to learn from your infinite wisdom! Thanks for all that you share.

Absorbed every stroke! Beautiful. Do you mind telling how many pastel sticks, on average, you use for one painting?
@tonyallain2723 жыл бұрын
Thank you Simona, I probably use a maximum of about 15 different pastel sticks of various colours and values.

This technique of juxtaposition of values and hues is one of the many valuable things I learned from you. Thank you.
