So funny. Up, up and away! I'm still camping. I drive into town ( just outside the park) and use the nearest wifi, so that's where I am now. The local library. I sit outside in my car. The last two nights, I've had visits from the raccoons at the campsite. One jumped onto the hood of my car and the next night, one scrambled onto the roof! I was amazed. Didn't know they could do that. I hiked for two hours yesterday. Didn't know I had it in me.Weather's been great. 60's-70's daytime and 50's at night. Fahrenheit. I do camp in colder weather sometimes. One time, I bathed outside in 28 F. As long as you use warm water, the outside temp doesn't feel that cold. I've camped in snow also. That was really pretty and I got up early to go out and look for animal tracks. Hope you and Stanley get to do another camping trip. Take care.

So happy for your camping opportunities. Our weather has been unusually good (higher temperatures, warmer than usual). The weather guy said our September to November will be higher than usual. When I heard that I booked our next camping site. I know in part this unusual seasonal weather is due to global warming but, I’m feeling grateful for it. It means I can still have more fun camping. Were you scared or concerned about the Racoon visit?

@@TwoSeniors - Hi Sue, yes, these warmer temps give us camping enthusiasts more opportunities. Glad you were able to book another camping trip. I wasn't scared about the raccoon, but more surprised that it could jump straight up onto the hood of my car and then scramble up to the roof from the back side of the car. They can be vicious, so I don't get involved at all. I never leave food out, but raccoons are very curious.

@Judy-fi7ce we should share emails if you’re comfortable. We could share pictures. Mine is suebook@mac.com . I’m camping and typing without my reading glasses … lol…

Thanks for the hearts… I had to put this up because it’s one of my favorites. It kicked off our camping season. We have at least one more for this season. Working on it…lol… I will miss the camping season, but picnics and hiking is still a go no matter the weather. Cheers!
