I'm not too far-off I'm 64 & I see from where you're coming from. I saw something that was written on a Tee-Shirt, it said how do know that you're getting old ? When you you have more Doctors than friends. It certainly seems that way. I do miss my folks & aunts and uncles that are way up in age are dying off. You said you miss your old man and that's because you grew up with him, and perhaps you had a good relationship with him. Me even though my old man isn't around I wouldn't sing for him. I didn't grow-up with my old man because he left before I was born. One day when I met up with him he told me if I couldn't accept him. It was alright because he had other children that accepted him. That was 23 Yrs ago I walked away and didn't see him since. He's no longer around and I was loyal to the people that adopted and took me in. Even though they're no longer around I carry their last name. Family and folks are the ones that stick by you. It's sad but that's the way it is for some people.

@@joegongora2200 Amen brother. thanks for the your heart felt response. My pop was a merchant seaman, so he was gone 3-6 months at a time, but he was a kind and affectionate soul and the times that we did spend together i often reflect upon, it some times makes me feel young again. For those of us in our twilight years of life, these lyrics take on a very special meaning. Reflecting on life is something we tend to do in our latter years because time passes so quickly that we have to think back to relive events of our life to fully appreciate them. Dean, you are back home now. You have done well. Now, you can rest in peace. Thank you for all the years you shared your music and helped many of us to reflect on our own lives.

It almost feels like he had it planned from the beginning to sing this song as the story of his life. Dean, you will be missed by many who remember you as the young man and now as the elder man. Yes, Peter. What a singer Wee Dean was. First saw him in 1963, or thereabouts, in a school hall in Drumchapel - it was Dean Ford and the Gaylords at that point. One of the top bands in Scotland at the time. Worth trying to find Dean and Ian McMillan's acoustic version of 'In Dreams' (it's at a wedding reception). Or The Glasgow Road, with Joe Tansin - and other tracks, from his later years. They're on youtube.

To all. Well it ever happen again? A song, a MASTERPIECE of a song 🎵 ✨ ❤ that touches us as Reflections Of My Life? This song, words, tempo, the true sadness, and memories that stur our souls is what this song is all about. How did Dean and his band mate pull this off? It is perfect in every way. Still, now from 1967, or when it was released in your area, this beautiful song stands the test of time. I loved it back than, when I was a teenager living in the San Francisco Bay area, as I love it now. It's like wine 🍷 that gets better with time. The older you get, the more Reflecting of your life you do. Just a natural thing in your life, that happens as you grow older. How blessed we are to here this beautiful song. It's as relevant song now in 2020, as it was in 1967. We can all take a lesson from this song. This asks a question. If you had a time machine would you, if you could, knowing all that you know now, go back in time to to your old home 🏡 and start all over in the life that you lead? I am not writing about financial gain, but affairs of the heart ♥ Would you push that button 🤔 that could change your life. For more about this, go to this song Dean Ford Reflections Of My Life there is another version of this song, much like this one. Dean Ford last re-recording of this song 🎵 posted by The Fridge, (that spelling might be off), go there and see under the comments of me and him commenting back and forth. He was the sound engineer whom recorded that version of this song. I was honored that he and I commented to each other. You may learn somethings about Dean there. To to close I go back to the the original statement. Will it ever happen again? A song that touches most everyone who hears it. Sure there are alot of wonderful songs out there, also there is alot of songs that are not worth the, (plastic or vinyl), there made of. Simply it is one of the best rock songs ever made. I hope we all make 🙏 past this virus and can live a normal life again. Peace and good health to you all. We all have part of ourselves to give our children and younger generation. When you think of music, tell the younger ones about this hidden gem 💎. This song has been pushed back and

One of the absolute favourite songs of my (own) life. And Thomas/Dean still had that superb tone and delivery until the end… fabulous!

Wow. If this was recorded in December, 2018, then this was Dean's last month on this Earth; but his gift never died. I feel supremely honored to have heard him sing this.

At the end of his life, despite the obvious weakness in his voice - or perhaps because of it - his voice was even more beautiful than at the start of his life. RIP Dean - a beautiful voice from a beautiful soul.

This takes me back to a dear brother in law's 21st birthday, sadly he passed away at 65. I am 70 now and have awee drink on a Saturday and enjoy listening to some good music to take my mind off Nicola Sturgeon !!!!

I am so sad to hear him passing away. The song Reflections Of My Life is one of my best favorite songs ever hearing it for the first time 6 months ago. The song touched my soul because I am able to relate to it. Rest in peace in your real old home.

R.I.P. Dean Ford . The voices I grew up with are being silenced one by one .. Playing Music has been the Greatest Gift God ever gave me . I am so lucky to have grown up in the 60's 70's and beyond . A magical time. Saddened by father time. Enjoy your life !!

So blessed to have Dean Ford and his band. Some unforgetable music. I challenge anyone 60 or older to answer one question; Where does time go? Such an unfathomable mystery and the more we think about it the more of a mystery it becomes. RIP, Dean.
