I wrote about a year ago about how this video has changed my life. I had all the symptoms listed in all other posts and saw doctor after doctor and they couldn’t help. I had reached the point where breathing was difficult and had no zest to do much of anything. I used the spray for about 3 months straight while watching what I ate and I have been symptom free since. I haven’t even used the spray for the past 2 months. This has been a life saver for me...I changed my eating habits and have the occasional treat and drink here and there and still have no problems. If you suffer from LPR, know that you’re not alone and give this a shot.

I have been dealing with silent reflux for about 3 years. Took different kind of ppi meds, none of those really help. I’m a car salesman, and have to talk all of the time, my voice slowly getting worse everyday, having difficulty speak at work, started to messing up my work. I went to speech therapy, didn’t help. Until I found this video, I finally can talk again with little to no restrictions, the lump in my throat is gone now, I have been using the spray bottle for 2 days now, I think if I keep doing it, it may eventually heal me. Oh My GOD! I never usually leave comments. I have had lpr with no hurtburn since 2013, non stop every hour of the day mucus that would build up on my air ways causing me to clear my throat and cough. TMI but I could spit up half a cup of mucus a day. Constant feeling of something in my throat and when I get up in the morning a slight acidic burn. I’ve tried prescription and over the counter nothing worked. I seen this video 4 days ago and thought this is not going to work. Last night I bought all the items mentioned and used it before bed. THIS WORKS!!! For the first time in 9 years no mucus no coughing no burn. I feel like a normal functioning human. If you have lpr please do this. May it change your life as it has mine. ENT did a scope and didn’t see anything BUT I still felt something so in my head I didn’t accept that 100% but I had to calm myself down because I’ve already lost 1lbs.. he told me it was LPR and gave me medicine, told me to give it 10 days to feel it working but I don’t feel anything. I was referred to an ENT after my thyroid test came back normal. The ENT did a scope and didn’t see anything abnormal in my throat other than excess saliva in the area I had pain. Gonna try this. Two years of hoarseness, cough and breathing issues. I have hiatal hernia and was diagnosed with GERD. But my acidic GERD is fairly mild. I suspect prior to symptoms, I had silent reflux for a long time, which also might explain halitosis. After PPIs and inhalers didn't work, my doctor gave up and said there is no explanation, then even started trying to say it was somatic. Not once did my doctor at this prestigious medical conglomerate even mention Airway reflux or pepsin. I found out about Airway Reflux from out of network Rheumatologist which led me to do my own research. What is up with the knowledge in the medical community? Anyways, I will try this and really appreciate doctors sharing knowledge like this. We need more medical professionals like this sharing knowledge and furthermore in their own medical communities.

@@qso3566 yes! In my case continuous sinus related issues which were caused by LPR turned into a constant post nasal drip which formed chronic bronchitis. But before all that I also looked into the possibility of hiatal hernia and ruled it out with a contrast xray because that also can make your breathing shallow and could be a root cause for LPR and GERD. I am not using a nebulizer to get rid of my bronchitis while using the bicarbonate solution to keep the lpr symptoms and sinus at bay.

@@qso3566 the worst part is, there's no way to measure the short breath. The spirometry test which is usually considered will give a normal result. And you won't be able to find out what's causing your dull and low quality life. But in my experience, If I pay great attention to my breathing and if it is not getting obstructive and the days I am able to breathe properly with deep and effortless breaths, I will be able to sleep much better and wake up fresh with lots of energy. Pls also look into betaine hcl because sometimes a person can have hypochlorhydria or achlorhydria and that's the reason they don't have heart burn while having a reflux. Also these two conditions can mess up your LES and you start having the problem in the first place. Betaine Hcl has at least gave me a hope and I am able to eat normally now.

hey, mattpen7966...I am doing so much better than 3 months ago! Hardly any mucous in throat, able to sleep at night without swallowing difficulties and still being able to carefully eat those once 'difficult foods' now without backlash...besides using alkaline/baking soda, I've started taking 1 tbsp. Mylanta an hour after eating and eating a much smaller evening meal around 4pm to be sure stomach is pretty much cleared by bedtime...everything is working together for good and I feel so much better today!!! Hope this gives you much encouragement as it has for me/// 🙂@@mattpen7966

@@mattpen7966 Hi matt, I sent you a note earlier today and let you know that I am doing so much better today than 2 months ago! The sodium bicarbonate solution worked wonders!!! I am still using it as needed after eating those things that could possibly cause LPR to flare up again....but...have had none of the major problems I used to have since using Dr. Noar's awesome spray solution. It definitely works and is a life-saver!!! And just to be safe...I also, after eating anything spicy, cheezy or drinking a coke, take 1 tbsp. of Mylanta an hour afterwards so as to neutralize any final stomach acid that may be left behind in the stomach...so, just wanted you to know how much better my life is today and no mucous problems or throat problems since. I can sleep peacefully at night and certainly have stopped the throat clearing that used to be a daily nightmare. Hope you are well on your way, too, in healing!!! Blessings to you! 🙂

Thank you so much for this. Been suffering with LPR for 10 years that's still not being effectively treated by doctors. Just had one of my worst cases of it that started 9pm that lasted til 5AM the following morning when it finally settled just enough to sleep. I was up all night with horrendous wheezing, causing nasty coughing and throat clearing. Went to the store this morning to buy what I needed to try this because I was still wheezing heavily after waking up. Just tried it, and in minutes my wheezing has reduced by 95% after one application. The relief is incredible my throat had been torn to ribbons with everything else failing to stop it

I'm currently trying this. I've been dealing with what I'm almost certain is LPR for the last 4+ months. (My journey through doctors has yet to diagnose this, though my PCP suspects it. I'm quite certain.) This started when I got intractable hiccups for six days back in April, which was misery and landed me in the hospital. I've been trying to recover ever since. My symptoms include sore and/or scratchy throat, bad taste in my mouth, coughing, occasional choking on saliva or liquid, hoarseness, etc. No post-nasal drip. I initially bought a small generic bottle of saline, emptied it, and tried to use that, but it shot the water out in more of a stream than a mist. Since I have nothing in my nose, I'm just using a small pressurized plant misting bottle. This does a great job, and I've ordered some small empty misters so I can have something for when I'm on the go. I'm three days in and I've actually had three good days, but I'll reserve judgement until more time passes.
@bryanstealey4348
@bryanstealey4348 Жыл бұрын
Should also mention that I don't inhale it. My symptoms are up at the top of my throat and in the back of my mouth. So I just blast a big spray into my mouth and then swallow it.

Hi! Just another LPR sufferer here commenting so I can be notified if you ever post updates, extra information, etc. I've kinda been suffering on my own the past year and a half, and I was so scared by some of the first things I read when the initial symptoms started, so I haven't don't much research or outreach to others in the same boat since then, but I think it's time I tried to be a little more proactive about this. Anyway, I sincerely hope it works for you. I tried drinking baking soda water one time (yuck) and it didn't do much for me, but I didn't use high pH water (just store bought spring water), and I didn't add as much baking soda as is suggested in this video. Going to try following the instructions in the video to a T now. Hoping the bicarbonate spray + sodium alginate after meals can make a difference, because Omeprazole and the US formulation of Gaviscon sure haven't.

This works!!!! I use this after every meal and night. I also gargle and drink a sip a few times a day. Ive been religious with my diet for a few weeks without results. I'm a worse case scenario. I started to have swallowing issues where I'd cough while eating and felt like I couldn't swallow and losing weight. I have LPR and EOS which was caused from a bad allergy to clindamycin. I am also allergic to PPI meds so I can't take those. I had been taking pepcid, gaviscon and even pepto without relief. The dr even prescribed me carafate and told me its not recommended but may take the edge off. Nothing. I was anxious and depressed and losing a lot of sleep at night waking up choking to death. I slept an average of 30m-1 hr and on a good day maybe once or twice a week I'd get 4 hours sleep. Exhausting. I've spent so much time crying. I was ready for surgery. I aldo drink aloe vera juice in the morning as ive been doing for about a week. You have to he RELIGOUS with this if you want to heal. I've been doing this for 3 days and seeing a 90% + reduction in day time symptoms and a 50% reduction in night time reflux. But im still struggling at night getting to sleep and waking uo choking but im now thinking some of this may actually be a combo of sleep apnea which is very much linked to LPR but not everyone with LPR has apnea. I'm also going for a sleep study and losing weight. You have to be religious in doing this. Eat a mediterannian diet excluding the acid components of tomato/onion etc. Eat Skinless chicken, veggies, fish, oatmeal, nuts, eggs. Less fat, healthier fats like avocodo and small amount of olive oil. Also limit carbs like bread/ rice. Give up chocolate, peanut butter and junk food. No coffee. It can take 3 months of diet and otc/ natural products such as the alkaline water baking soda mixture which helped me more then ANYTHING I've tried. It works. You just have to give it time. It's been days and I'm seeing an improvement..

I have been working on pursuing the career of my dreams in voiceover after years of reluctance and wouldn’t you know suddenly I’ve developed chronic recurrent throat issues that I’ve come to understand are GERD related. I was put on a wait list for an ETN and have been stuck there for almost a year. Meanwhile my doctor prescribed me an acid blocker and gave me an absurdly long list of foods to avoid. At first the acid blocker was helping and I was not having to be so restrictive on my diet. But now the acid blocker seems to be doing nothing as my symptoms will appear in my throat after almost any meal. I get zero heartburn so it took me a while just to connect this to reflux. I just stumbled onto this video and noticed all the positive comments. The explanation seems quite sound and I am very hopeful that this technique might help save my vocal cords in time for me to record my first demo reel at the end of the month. Fingers crossed. I’ve been really stressed out that now that I finally take this huge leap of faith such a terrible obstacle has appeared before me. Especially considering I never had this before, or atleast I never noticed it.

I wanted to update my previous post of approximately a year ago. Alhtough I believed this video to provide me with relief, I have since determined that my problem with shortness of breath is caused by adult onset asthma. I wanted to take the time to correct my post. I am now taking an inhaler (Arnuity) daily and daily doses of Montelukast (Singulair) and have been for the last 9 months or so. All of my symptoms below were gone within days. Long story short, after continued visits to various ENTs, I was told there was no way acid reflux (silent or otherwise) could affect the lungs without some indication on the vocal chords, because whatever goes into the lungs must pass this part of the throat. I ended up back at my pulmonologist who by this time suspected asthma and prescribed teh above. I've been breathing normally ever since, and only have an occasional flare up of acid reflux. I'm now convinced that these two conditions were separate and apart from one another. I was desperately trying to self diagnose. I hope you are all well and find help with your personal conditions.

And it really does. I do inhalations twice a day, brings a lot of relief and doesn’t irritate at all. Here in Poland it is called Ectodose and it is sold in ready made ampules for inhalations. One extract says: “Regarding individual symptoms evaluated by physicians ectoine was more effective than hyaluronic acid in ameliorating the symptom of reddening of the larynx.” Hyaluronic acid solutions are also good for inhalations. If your worried about pathogens. Use Bottled water its sterile. It doesn't matter if its distilled or purified. Just don't forget to keep your solution fresh and the container clean. I personally would make a new solution daily, because even with the addion of baking soda the water activity will still be high for bacteria growth, which grows exponentially over a short period. For purified bottled water there are several filtration steps most importantly reverse osmosis, and before the water is bottled its treated with ozone. High alkaline water processing is mostly the same, although there is additional steps to increase the pH. Typically through electrolysis. Also keep in mind that the pH range for distilled and purified water is 5 to 7 pH. This is a regulatory requirement. Thus its actually slightly acidic. Which is why the doctor recommends alkaline water.

Just saw this warning: "Alkaline water does help some people with mild LPR manage their symptoms, especially for those that previously consumed a lot of carbonated and/or acidic beverages. However, it provides only minimal and short term buffering capacity and only to acid/pepsin on the mucosal surface. The protease inhibitors are much more potent inhibitors of pepsin, they bind to the pepsin enzyme and inactivate it. They will also inactivate intracellular pepsin. Moreover, I do not recommend anyone use a spray bottle with water and/or baking soda for risk of infection from non-sterile water and damage from bicarbonate which would likely be caustic to the throat/nose with repeated exposure. Strong alkaline solutions are equally damaging to mucosa as acidic solutions."

I just found this and I pray it helps, I'm in a bad way at the moment. Getting burning all the way to my tounge sometimes, and its relentless 24/7. Very interesting everyone is talking about breathing difficulties as I have had a weird breathing problem for like 10+ years on and off. Now I'm convinced its linked to this LPR/GERD problem. When I get it, its like I can't get a proper breath, and its like I need to be able to do a sort of yawn/sigh to reset it. Then when its really bad I can't do this often enough but keep trying and failing to get this 'proper' breath, and it makes me go a bit dizzy.

Can' wait to try this. About 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with LPR via 24 hour Ph Monitoring and an endoscopy. Also my voice was shot and I couldnt speak anymore and lost much of my vocal range. Throat docs looked at me and told me my vocal cords were fine. Went to voice therapists who had a high speed video camera and they saw a pair of severely damaged vocal cords -- they said if I wasnt put on a PPI and got voice therapy soon I would lose my voice or worse. I went on Nexium but the Army is not one to support Nexium for long so I was on and off and off and on but the Nexium did help. But the symptoms always came back after going off Nexium. At the same time I was diagnosed with this I was also found to have emphysema despite clear CT scans and one of the fastest 2 miles run times in my division of 17,000 soldiers. Years later I was tested again and fond to have moderate emphysema by lung function test but still ha a VO2 Max of 50 which is excellent and a 2 mile run time of about 14 minutes (not bad for a 50 year old). Anyway, the docs took me off Nexium just because and my throat went down hill and I couldnt get more than a few worst out before running out of breath (proving emphysema to be right) but also running and biking and lifting like a NCAA athlete. I am going to try this. My main symptoms of LPR/Emphysema is I cant speak comfortably anymore. I dont know if severe LPR can cause lung function issues or not but it is worth a try. By the way I tested my VO2 max at the gym today using Bruce protocol and I went for 16 minutes on the treadmill at 16% incline and 5.2 MPH. My knees couldnt take any more so I ramped down to 10% and 4.2 MPH for the next 30 minutes.
