I would sound a small note of caution there. The mess that the current idiots have created will take a long time to put right. I fully expect the first Reform government, if we’re lucky enough to get one, to be very rocky. At least the trajectory will have changed but the benefits will likely be for the next generation. If the Tories think that the Rwanda deal will save their electoral chances, it shows just how out of touch and deluded they are. Mind. If a greater number of voters are convinced by the Rwandan deal enough to vote Tory, they are equally deluded. As for Labour. Lord help us. And I’m not entirely sold with Reform, but they haven’t had a go yet. And given the two main parties are so appalling, we are left with very little alternative but to try our luck with Reform and hope for the best. It’s hard to imagine they could be much worse.

From personal experience, the Welsh parliament is just one more layer of useless, self serving, gas bagging, inept politicians. This world needs LESS politicians not more. Hey Michael. I'm an ex-pat living in the US (I hold both passports). I do watch from time to time how the "old" country is doing and I must say I am generally saddened. The house of so called lords has to go. It serves no useful purpose the I can ascertain. Time for England to belong to the English and not a bunch of pompous old farts who are not even elected. And as to the Welsh and Scottish governments, let them go and see how well their economies do without the English taxpayer. Time to stop living in the past. No need for a Monarchy. I think Sunak will go to the country in June or July too. He’ll tell us the Rwanda policy is in place but he can’t afford for it to be seen to fail. There’ll be a few more sweeteners over the coming weeks to try and turn things round. I won’t be moved by anything Sunak offers because it’ll all be smoke and mirrors. As a Conservative voter for almost 50 years it’ll be Reform all the way for me. I became a member some time ago and will be donating whatever I can afford towards the election campaign.
