Unfortunately that’s not how our electoral system works. It will lead to a Labour government unless there is a seat arrangement with the tories but unfortunately Kemi was the wrong one for that. Jenrick was the one they needed.

The middle classes always take the brunt of taxes. It's the largest section of society, they have money but not enough to afford effective wealth management to avoid tax like the ultra rich, and as for the poorest - you can't take money from those who don't have any.

It will be difficult for Reform with our first past the post voting system. If we had proportional representation Reform would now have 90 MPs in parliament instead of just 5. How can it be right that Lib Dems got 3.5M votes & ended up with 72 MPs yet Reform got 4M votes & just 5 MPs?.
@gameofender4463
@gameofender4463 3 күн бұрын
Usually you’d be right but it’s not true anymore. FPTP did hinder Reform before, that’s true. Now though it’s reversing and becoming a positive as their share of the vote starts increasing to 22% or more, it begins to become strong enough that they’d win lots of seats at once.

Many Middle Class parents pay because they have to. The standard is so low in state schools that those who have children with any level of learning difficulty find it easier to pay if they can afford it , rather than do battle on a daily basis to get their children the help they need. Labour are lying -state education will never be better. This is just a way of the State sector keeping its head above water and pandering to petty resentment. Meanwhile many children with learning difficulties whose parents could only just afford the fees will now be pushed into the state sector. If this was meant to target the rich , it fails . It just penalises children who are less able . Well done Labour . Will the money from the VAT cover all the extra needs of those children? I doubt it. They will be pushed to the back of the class like our son was in the one size fits all crappy system. Which is why after starting off in the state sector we had to pay, do without cars and holidays and be resented for it. That was the only option to get him a decent education. If you have access to a decent state school which will take kids with learning difficulties you are in a very small minority. What a load of spin and utter bollocks.

@@gameofender4463 given Labour's unpopularity the Lib Dems would be destroying themselves if they propped up Labour. They are rising under Ed Davey and if they are canny will either join Reform in Government for just a year (to pass any legislation that both can agree upon - a Referendum on PR for instance) if Reform are the largest party by 2029 and then hold a fresh election OR stay separate from the post-election horse trading. Any deal with Labour or Tories will set them back.

Nobody has mentioned what the EU will ask to be paid for rejoining and what the new tax the annual plastic levy is going to cost. There are new levies (0.80 euro cents for each kilo) for waste plastic. Additionally the normal taxes being the annual contribution , based on VAT and the Gross National Income have been rising with inflation. By the way the Ipsos-Mori polls in Nov 2014 said 56% wanted to remain and 36% wanted to leave the EU.
