It will be difficult for Reform with our first past the post voting system. If we had proportional representation Reform would now have 90 MPs in parliament instead of just 5. How can it be right that Lib Dems got 3.5M votes & ended up with 72 MPs yet Reform got 4M votes & just 5 MPs?.
@gameofender44633 күн бұрын
Usually you’d be right but it’s not true anymore. FPTP did hinder Reform before, that’s true. Now though it’s reversing and becoming a positive as their share of the vote starts increasing to 22% or more, it begins to become strong enough that they’d win lots of seats at once.

Many Middle Class parents pay because they have to. The standard is so low in state schools that those who have children with any level of learning difficulty find it easier to pay if they can afford it , rather than do battle on a daily basis to get their children the help they need. Labour are lying -state education will never be better. This is just a way of the State sector keeping its head above water and pandering to petty resentment. Meanwhile many children with learning difficulties whose parents could only just afford the fees will now be pushed into the state sector. If this was meant to target the rich , it fails . It just penalises children who are less able . Well done Labour . Will the money from the VAT cover all the extra needs of those children? I doubt it. They will be pushed to the back of the class like our son was in the one size fits all crappy system. Which is why after starting off in the state sector we had to pay, do without cars and holidays and be resented for it. That was the only option to get him a decent education. If you have access to a decent state school which will take kids with learning difficulties you are in a very small minority. What a load of spin and utter bollocks.

@@gameofender4463 given Labour's unpopularity the Lib Dems would be destroying themselves if they propped up Labour.
