@Shaggy Lloyd it's a tough thing to be honest, where I'm from alcohol is a huge part of the culture from parties to meals. Being surrounded by it daily makes it tough to resist if one is addicted to it. I get what you're saying I totally do, however relapses happen for a reason it's the unfortunate reality of whatever situation an addict find themselves in
@thedkboyz

@Shaggy Lloyd I'm sorry to hear man.. it's never too late to stop, it really isnt, I felt I was beginning to hit a vicious cycle and stopped thankfully. Try to get some help maybe. I saw a great british documentary called "drinkers like me" which I'd like to suggest you watch, really gives insight to the situation and how much of a problem alcohol can be. It can take a 100 fails to quit alcohol for good, but it only takes 1 success to truly kick the habit. I believe in you mate, if you really want to quit I know you can no matter how long it takes. Alcohol is a bitch of a drug, rooting for you man.

Well flippin done to this fella !! Massive achievement - stopping the drinking like this brave guy did - no mean feat. Alcohol is poison. Drinking to excess kills, maims & breaks families apart at the seams. If you drink too much - and can't get it under control GET HELP - it's out there !! You are NOT alone. Lots of people out there living happy fulfilled lives who no longer need to drink. It CAN be done, believe in yourself. With wishes. Peace - Love IS The Answer. Rx

His last statement was brilliant, alcohol is everywhere,you need to live with it and not use it.So true it is so pervasive throughout society, such an embedded part of cultures almost everywhere..Here in the US it seems that pills of all types opiates Xanax etc. mixed with alcohol are commonplace now... We as a society are turning into reality evading zombies..Its been 3 years sober for me and it was tough at first but I wouldn't trade it for anything now..Life is an amazing gift from God...

I also thank you. My boyfriend (whom I've known for 19 yrs.) detoxed 1.5 yrs. ago. He had 2 friends die shortly after he got sober. I don't know how he managed to do that, but he's still sober. Drinking is not something to mess with. I've seen far more people get sick from alcoholism than anything else... it's sad. Thank you for being honest & those who need help, please get it. Alcholism WILL kill you... that IS a fact.

Quit while you can. I used to drink 15 shots a night 19-20 give or take and beer and weed would be in the mix but I occasionally piss blood and that really fucked me mentally. Stickin to weed and the occasional psychedelics. Hopefully whoever reads this can turn the horse around before it's too late!❤️

Beer is slowly starting to getting close to that and I've been able to quit for a week or so but I end up in the same place. I'm honestly about to the end I feel, but i hope i can say fuck this shit at some point, and make it last.

Matt Stocks I've been through real bad alcohol withdrawal twice and I actually enjoyed it. Watching tv to pass the time without sleep felt good to take my mind off the pain as I slowly sipped cool water. After I stopped puking a managed to hold down a couple bong rips and by day 2 I was sleeping and eating small portions

I sympathize with this dude, I'm a alcoholic. No excuses I don't enjoy drinking, but I have severe anxiety ironically from drinking a ton in the past. @hoxtondave9619
@hoxtondave9619 2 жыл бұрын
@@charleneclark1817 @KongSied It's not a disease and there is no such thing as addiction - medically, addiction doesn't exist; it is a phantom condition concocted to enslave people to Big Pharma and the "rehab" industry and to make people feel weak and out of control, as well as providing them with a convenient excuse as to why what they are doing is not their own fault. I have in the past abused alcohol extremely heavily - I used to drink more before 9am on a morning before work than most people would drink in a few weeks, so I know how this feels. Drink feels like the only cure for anxiety, but it is also the cause of it. I accept that a root case of anxiety may have helped push yourself, and myself, down this dangerous path but we all know that it makes the original condition worse. If you want to take back control, you can. That said, I am not in any way denying the existence of physical dependency which can result, in the case of alcohol, in absolutely horrific withdrawal symptoms, which can, unlike most drugs, be medically dangerous. (I've had auditory and visual hallucinosis, tremors so bad that I couldn't walk, and all manner of other dreadful things. This is of course what happens when you drink all day, every day.) That said, I wouldn't recommend you just stop immediately. In fact, I wouldn't recommend you stop at all. Don't listen to all this American nonsense which says that you are inherently a drunk (i.e. you have this made-up disease called "addiction") and therefore you can never drink again. Of course you can - I still drink occasionally but my appetite for it is low. What needs to be done is simply a gradual tapering process. What will really sustain you in the end is sufficient meaning and value in your life that you see more to life than just abusing substances, because we know first hand it is a path that leads only to misery and death. All the best!

I never get to the sloppy point of drinking, but I do drink a lot each night. I have had many days filled with shakes and anxiety at work. I have never had any consequences come from drinking. I guess people would label me as a functional alcoholic. I even go I to the gym 6 fraud a week. I just cant picture life without alcohol. And now I am scared of withdrawal seizure.

@lostdaltonian01 I recently started drinking again and I didn't get an allergic reaction. I had a half pint of vodka. I was confused why I didn't. The next day I started again and after 2 hours or so I started having the same reaction. I am not Asian or taking any medication. I can literally say I can have a tablespoon of beer and get a reaction. Heart racing, head throbbing, blood pressure behind my head..shallow breathing, vomiting. I don't know what can be the problem.

It is possible your body is not consistently metabolising the alcohol. The symptoms you describe occur when an enzyme is not produced and acetaldehyde builds up in your blood. This chemical causes all those reactions you mentioned.
